What are you playing right now?

Got back into playing Persona 5 Royal. I really like this game. On PS5 it runs super smooth and super fast, but the resolution gets kinda pixelated in 4K.
My thoughts heading into the Casino Palace:

Spoiler: Persona 5 Royal sperging

- Burger Boss is a buncha Burger Bullshit. The Burger Palace was a tremendous load of horseshit in OG Persona 5, there was no need to make the experience even worse in P5R. Somewhere at Fatlus, someone was twirling around in their desk chair thinking "Let's make the Burger Palace the most obnoxious part of the game and let's put it deadass in the middle. Yes, that's a good idea." Fuck that guy.
- Please stop trying to make me waifu the little gymnast girl. She's creepy and weird, but not on the same level as Futaba, who is an autistic dox gremlin. I am not a fan of the game trying to direct me into waifu-ing the 14-15 year olds, even though Joker is canonically 16.
- Hot take: Makoto's kind of a huge bitch.
- I still ship Ann x Ryuji super hard.
- It's the end of October now, and I've only maxed out Ryuji, Mishima, Yoshida, and Yusuke. I need to get my shit together.
- I'm totally over having to actually put effort into hanging out with Akechi now. I much preferred it in P5 when you just maxed his Confidant level via story progression. I really don't like him, and not for the reasons most people don't like him. I just don't like the character. At least he doesn't stalk you in P5R like he did in P5.

RYUJI FINALLY GETS TO SAY FUCK!!!! But it's only in a text message. Fingers crossed for a Max Mittelman F-Bomb in the 3rd semester.

- So far I've only really run into one spot in the game where you can totally tell where they shoehorned the Royal content into P5 because the transition was not fluid at all.

And that's all I have to say about that. For now.

Fortnite. Kid cousin got me into it and it's probably one of the best free 2 play games on the market rn. They're also donating all profits until like April for Ukraine charities if that's something you like supporting

 

That game was really popular towards the end of the 2010s for some reason.

 

I just don't like him because he's a smug, know-it-all attention whore who acts like they don't like it. "Oh, golly gee whiz, it's sooooo hard to go out in public because of aaaaallll the people who recognize me!" Maybe because I've known actual people exactly like that, but that's why I can't appreciate the character.
I think it's cheap of Fatlus to make him a tragic character too, just to make the audience feel bad for him, and I truly believe that's the only reason he was given the backstory he has. And it's not like I don't empathize, I do, but I just think it's cheap. And his shit isn't any more tragic than anyone else and he had loads of opportunities to make things better for himself, but he chose to still be shitty.

So I upgraded to the superfancy deluxe version of Persona 5 Royal before I even started playing and it comes with a bunch of the previous games' personas and their picaro forms. These DLC personas are all free for the first summon. They're also outrageously OP. With them, I'm blasting through boss battles and mini boss battles.

However, I do not feel guilty enough about it to stop using them.

Also, I mentioned this to my bff earlier tonight - Ryuji and Ann are totally fucking on the DL.
