I was just playing Kingdom Hearts. I helped the president of China get some honey while protecting him from bees.

And yes, I brought this up entirely as an excuse to make a "the president of China looks like Winnie the Pooh" joke.

 

I just started Yakuza: Like a Dragon, AKA "Yakuza 7: Daigo Dojima is the Fucking Worst"

So far, unimpressed, but it's the Yakuzies, so I have a primal urge to see it to the end.
My thoughts (I'm only to the tail-end of Chapter 2, so shit better improve), AKA "Reasons why Daigo Dojima is the Fucking Worst":
- FUCKIN' DON QUIJOTE WAS CHANGED TO A POLICE STATION???? THE BEST PART OF RUNNING AROUND IN SOUTHERN KAMUROCHO WAS TO HEAR THE DON QUIJOTE THEME SONG!!!

- Kasuga Ichiban is a tremendous dork. Jury's still out on whether or not this is a good thing. They use his dorkiness to explain the turned-based gameplay (see next.)
- I can’t get used to the gameplay mechanics. Though I’m fine with turn-based rpgs, Yakuza has never been one and it feels weird and uncomfortable. Do. Not. Like. I find myself constantly trying to combo while in battle.
-- AND FURTHERMORE, I do not like that I can't just grab a fuckin' scooter and bash a dude's ass inside out mid-battle and instead, have to be near an object for the chance to pick it up. So far, I've only been able to bludgeon dudes with traffic cones, because despite being directly on top of a bike, the game would not let Kasuga pick it up.
--- WITH THAT SAID, not thrilled that, on the rare occasion I do pick up a bicycle to bash some skulls, it only is used on one enemy, even if they're all bunched together.
- No karaoke (yet?)
- Despite the fact that I've spent almost all my money thus far on UFO Catcher, it's harder to accumulate the amount of cash as in previous Yakuzies.
- There also seems to be less to do. I've tried my hardest to find safe keys for those gold-ass safes, which are usually within a block of said safe. No shinies to signify safe/locker keys, porno trading cards, or other assorted random shit.
- Holy fucking shitballs, Kamurocho Hills is enormous.
- Storywise, it seems alright so far, except for the fact that Daigo Dojima is literally to blame for everything that happens because he can't run the fucking Tojo Clan and probably would've been murdered 80 times over by Majima if Kiryu hadn't told him not to.

NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED IF KIRYU HADN'T LEFT FUCKING DAIGO IN CHARGE OF THE TOJO CLAN.

I hope my assessment changes as I continue to play the game.

 

It's odd how common gas giants with aerial life seem to be in SpaceEngine.

What if it's normal for gas giants to have floating life in real life?

 

Karaoke is in the game. Even the Baka Mitai meme song. Cash early is best gained doing a business mini-game which comes by chapter 5 at the earliest iirc. Combat in kicking bikes and signs is a waste of time imo since you do more damage with special moves anyway. Also Don Quixote gone because licensing ran out.

Also played Skyrim SE since its the 10th birthday of Skyrim. Don't know about Todd's update though. Haven't gotten any of it on my game yet. Also for a side note with mods, the combat mods I see people tought hobestly felt meh and I managed to now appreciate the combat of Skyrim, especially since most mods wanting to be like Dark Souls or Sekiro don't really seem translate well. Wouldn't mind someone making a pack of this shit but then I remember hearing about modders being against it or something.

 

Got back into a fighting game streak. Melty blood type lumina plays smooth af

Started to play Mega Man X4 on the legacy collection. Thankfully, unlike what those bastards at Konami did to Symphony of the Night, Capcom kept the original amazing (?) voice acting

 

After a year and a half, (I know this because my villagers didn't let me forget it,) I've gotten back into Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I'm digging the Cooking, Gardening and Diving updates, as well as Brewster's Cafe. I spent a few hours today landscaping - digging up and relocating trees (the hardwood trees and the cedar trees are in designated forests now), rearranging flower beds and transplanting my garden to my front yard. On my "To Do" list is to organize the orchard area and continue rearranging flower beds. I've been cultivating a bunch of black flowers lately, so that's cool.

Also playing "Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion" and that game rules. I gave it to my BFF as kind of a joke game, but also it looked cool. BFF said they enjoyed it, and I'm enjoying it as well. It's supposed to be a short game, but I'm taking my time with it.

 

Alnair 4 is an Earth-like world with rings, despite the sun being a relatively short-lived blue sun.

Played Ready or Not. Gave it a serious play after seeing a Kotaku article and its comment section bitch about the game being copaganda and alt-right dog whistles and seeing a gaming Youtuber do a review that's more balanced than being "REEEEE ACAB" while making yer mum jokes. Fun game to play since it's SWAT in current year but being early access it'll be subject to jank and balancing that makes you.wonder how juveniles and crackheads have spec ops aimbot shooting skills. Still, I'm having a good share of fun with it compared to For Honor and its combat system. Played that earlier today and I honestly felt meh to it and its combat system. I'm not much a multiplayer guy but I stayed for the single player which could of been better in letting me pick who to kill the big bad knight as. And the arcade mode is a repetitive kick in the nuts, especially since its short skirmishes against an npc hero and finishing the whole run may get me no loot. Even the petty armor sperg in me manages to balk at most of the designs on the knights save for the not romans, the one guy with a flail and a shield, and the edgy looking guy who has sense to use a shield. Thankful for getting it as a gift though 2-3 years back from an ex Kiwi.

 

Been playing Salt & Sanctuary while cheating by way of backing up saves and reloading them in the event I miss a key npc or I get a death that wasn't from falling. I know one can say that goes against the spirit but fuck it, I beaten the game years ago, let me be a cheating piece of crap.

 

While I started Dying Light 2 yesterday and haven't gotten far because I'm too busy exploring the first area of the city, I will say that if enemies are not suppose to drop weapons, the devs who thought of that should get shit for it. I don't care about someone arguing balance because the first game could let me get weapons from thugs I killed and those tend to be shit compared to what I could find in a lock chest. Also, I really wish zombies focused more on human enemies because the game feels a bit too much like "gang up on the player no matter what." Still want to have fun but fuck me is it annoying to find a combat stick to fight bandits. And whoever thought enemies should automatically dodge a knife throw with the animation of one doing an active dodge when I already have them spin from a swing of a bat should also get shit as well because holy hell, I don't like how bandits somehow get spidey senses to dodge a knife throw after hitting them in the head with a blunt object.
