Sonichu Sonichu (the comic itself)

One person on Reddit wondered if Chris wouldn't have become a lolcow if the basketball never hit his head.

So the "domino moments" that led to the "Jail of Fail" Chris could be:

- a drunken Barb chasing Bob down a hall
- "GodBear" bestowing the name of Christian at the mall
- "and I just won!"
- getting hit with a basketball while derping out
- "no copyrighted characters on the CD cover"

 

I think Bob taking Chris out of special ed classes and putting him in normal classes was a big part of Chris’s downfall.

 

I don't think the basketball itself did any damage
Chris not knowing how to act like an adult after high school was the problem - he shouldn't have fallen asleep or read Goosebumps in independent living class
although he did have an inkling when he went to college after high school, but never did anything with his degree other than make Sonichu

 

I think the argument went something like the hit made Chris come up with Bionic (which opened the door to sanic recolors), which led to Sonichu, which led to Chris becoming a lolcow. But yeah, even if Chris had never invented Sonichu, he'd still be Chris.

It was a coping skills class IIRC.

 

Sonichu is kind of funny even if it is messed up, and I think Chris had been making Sonichu comics and websites before he was discovered in late 2007
Sonichu is artwork that is a glimpse into how Chris's mind works, his romantic, power, and revenge fantasies, as well as his imitation of various intellectual properties he likes and his interpretation of them
but yeah, Sonichu, the love quest, and freaking out over trolls was the Classic Chris trifecta

There we go: after three specials and episode 19, Ivy just dies offscreen like every other "sweetheart", with the mention of said death cheaply added at the end of a big wall of text. Chris is a master at half-assing shit.

And so, Chris Chan escapes the Time Void, ready to enact his final solution to all of his haters and the homos.
(BTW, I love how Chris's OCs are just casually talking about going home for dinner and sex, even after all the offscreen casualties and the alleged ruin of the city.)

 

Page 93-94 makes no sense, Chris fundamentally does not understand how comics treat action so it's as if there a ten different sonichus in a single scene.

This time, we have Chris's stupid pretend vidya yet again (this time coming never to the PS2), an introduction to Sonichu and Rosechu's three ugly babies, and more proof that Chris slept through CADD (grade -F destruction, indeed).

 

Looks like he was inspired by the early Pokemon games.

Where the rooms are ridiculously huge, or furniture is ridiculously tiny.

And with that, Sonichu 9 has finally come to a close. Expect all Hell to break loose when we get to Sonichu 10

 

It's supposed to be a caricature of Chris Chan, even though it looks nothing like him. This is especially weird considering it was drawn by an actual caricature artist that was at one of the parks Chris used to go to, hence why the quality of the art itself is vastly superior to the entirety of Sonichu.

 

That is exceptionally bad art even by lolcow standards.

 

"I'm Alex, what are you called?"
Heaven forbid you say "What's your name?", no, just come off as fucking weird as possible.

 

Chris always talks at - not to - people in a "y'all look at how edumacated I am" TL;DR word salad way. It's been described as "stilted and awkward" to "very confusing + unclear".

And in the delirious world of Sonichu, everyone* talks like Chris.
