So we all love movies like The Room because of how tone deaf and unintentionally hilarious they are but I think the "so bad its good" genre can extend into video games. The first ones that come to mind are FMV games (full motion video), which are notorious for their terrible acting and low quality video, examples of these include the legendary Darkseed 2 and Phantasmagoria. Outside of that you have games like Postal 2 and Deadly Premonition and perhaps even some of the Ultima games; these are games should be considered bad because of how poorly some of the mechanics are designed or how unapproachable they or how broken the game is but it is in fact all these that make the game good. What other games are out there that are like this?

I really wouldn't call Postal 2 so bad it's good, since it genuinely is a pretty good game, it's just a comedy game with intentionally funny design choices.

Darkest Of Days immediately comes to mind. The whole thing is just so silly, and the gameplay is unintentionally hilarious because you can just tell that they tried to make a serious shooting game and failed miserably because of the engine they used. Zero Wing is another game that could qualify. Aside from the legendary translation, the game also features some of the most hilariously bad ending scenes in any game, which is unfortunate because at least one of them is meant to be taken seriously. There's also the infamous Ride To Hell, which I've always found funny. Every single cutscene in the game makes me laugh because of the way that the characters talk. Perhaps the original Deus Ex and Final Fantasy 7 could qualify, mainly because they have not aged well at all and their graphics are kind of funny to look at these days. Watch a video of a Deus Ex cutscene and tell me that it isn't a bit funny to watch.

Someone likes AVGN and "WORST GAIM EVAR!!" clickbait. Also, Enviro-Bear might qualify I guess, I've personally never found anything to like about it (it's a game that tried to be terrible, and it's just kind of boring), but I guess other people like it for some odd reason.

This thread begins and ends with the Tron arcade game adaptation of the original film. Only the 2nd most autistic creation of the year 1982 when it was all said and done.

Mario Party Advance is pretty bad, and from what I recall Mario is Missing was pretty bland as well. DK64, while I find very nostalgic and great, has been showing to have multiple bugs and glitches throughout, so bad to where people can glitch their way to the end in a matter of minutes.

However... are these games as "so bad it's good" to play as it is to watch gameplay of them?

From experience I can say that Skate 3, MK Armageddon and Kasumi Ninja are hoots. the latter in particular has the greatest character in fighting games of all time: Angus MacGregor (who can shoot fireballs from under his kilt).
