Sachumo - Chatting With Chris Chan

Sachumo, the creator of the Chris Chan documentary, streamed a conversation with Chris on the 21st of October.

 

Well that was shit. I think Sachumo is just riding off of his success with the documentary, considering everything he's done after has been painful. Guru Larry and Merryweathery are the only ones who managed to pull off successful communication with Chris anyway.

 

tl;dr version:
Chris thinks the documentary was 'cringe worthy' when it was all about him.

Sachumo points out taht chris keeps bringing the conversation back into MLP and typical mundane shit because no one can talk to chris about his past because chris doesn't want to talk about it. This flies over chris's head and chris admits he'd rather talk about ponies.
Chris admits when he started Sonichu he 'didn't have much in character range' so he used events from real life in place of actual plot. He then starts babbling about his villain characters.
Chris is still giving money to Planet Dolen, and thinks its an educational series.
"Graduon is not autistic."

Chris's dogs bark, which is the most interesting thing so far.
chandler pets discussed very very briefly.
"Lesbian Transwoman." He's found a trans support group. he believes that he is oppressed but the oppressors are in the minority.

That's probably the strongest insult you could make to a cartoon.

Chris is still high off of Bronycon.

 

I think Bronycon is the new Manchester High for chris. Its the perfect safe hugbox that chris wishes he could stay in forever. You know next year he'll be there, and any other brony con in driving range of his house. I'd bet money that he gets so comfortable at these cons that he starts trying to sell his sonichu crap without paying a vendor's fee and we see the return of the Jerkops and Manajerks

 

The irony is that the reason the convention was so enjoyable for him was its ephemeral nature. Had Bronycon gone on for a longer period of time the more con goers would have realized there was something off about this guy.

 

I had thought that chris would have had that response from people at Bronycon, considering popular opinion was that he paid for 3 nights at the hotel. presumably, it would have been a room by himself, since i doubt even the weirdest furry could stand chris as a roommate for 3 days.

 

Rats! Just when it started to get entertaining it gets derailed by cartoon bullshit.

Edit: Made it to 36min before alt-right kid started reading Our Autistic Hero's patreon page and the boredom became too intense.

 

I imagine for the people at Bronycon that it's an enjoyable little thing to hang out with Chris Chan for one afternoon or what have you. He's internet famous, and I'm sure it'd be interesting to talk to him once or twice, if only so you can have stories down the road about the time you met Chris Chan.

However, like I'm sure most of us here would like to hang out with Chris for one day just for the hell of it, an actual long-term friendship with him would be tediously boring. Not to mention that proximity to Chris brings its own problems, be it weens or the few long running people who are in position to control his communications being upset by your presence. Also if you happen to be a woman, then you'd have to put up with the fact that Chris will inevitably attempt to strike up a romantic relationship with you.

 

If I was Sachumo, I would try to firmly tell him to stop talking about ponies and talk about the stuff that people other than him want to hear.

 

And on what basis would you expect Chris to take that on board and stop talking about fucking ponies? Well, I suppose it might cause him to throw a fit. Idk if that's a desired outcome for people.

 

People with autism can have a really hard time leaving the narrow interest du jour.

I wonder how long it will take for people to realise that interviews with Chris have been done to death and that all the juicy stuff comes from Chris being himself.

 

It doesn't help that most interviews with Chris from the last few years ask him the same 5-6 questions, just worded slightly enough that Chris still continues to answer with the same old answers

 

That might be amusing and you do have a point there about him being willing to stop. I wouldnt find interviewing him pleasant myself but if i did have the desire to interview him, it would be something i would try to do for the sake of people watching.

 

These interviews suck, BraveryJerk still tops the worst.
