Wait..was that a half-assed attempt to put one over on Liquid Chris? Ian is a bit late on that one.

A set of PMs between Idea Guy and a KF user which took place back in December has been added to the wiki.

    https://sonichu.com/cwcki/Idea_Guy#Private_messages

Some of it's been posted elsewhere here, and there's some parts which haven't been discussed.

Might be a good idea to remove or trim some of those PMs so that only the interesting/relevant stuff remains. Without the PMs from the other person, some of it lacks context and is a bit confusing to read. It might also be a good idea to divide the PMs into sections so that it's not all one block of texts. Kind of like this article:

    https://sonichu.com/cwcki/Julie_Reveals_Herself

The Payday stuff was, oddly enough, kind of interesting to me. It just seems odd that part of his plan was making him play a multiplayer tactical shooting game. I kind of skimmed over the whole chat things, but the screenshots and the brief explanation of how good/bad he was kind of caught my eye.

Thanks for the feedback. Those are good points. I'll revise the section later.

I'm guessing the main reason he wanted Chris to be on Steam was to chat with him there as various Neptunia characters. Like, the part where Chris describes how he wants to bang Blanc takes place over Steam.

Something I thought was interesting was the part where Idea Guy said he role-played Chris to Chris. Must have been a bizarre chat. And the Jamsta thing, where Chris said he didn't want Jamsta to be jailed for molestation because Chris had been to jail and knows it sucks, and so tried to mind-control the judge and jury to find him not guilty.

Also, I liked how Idea Guy fucked with Quinn by pretending to be Chris and playing up the fat fetish bit and saying Chris was getting fatter.

I think the most interesting thing about the Idea Guy saga is all the behind-the-scenes stuff. I mean, some of the things this guy did are pretty interesting. It kind of signals the end of an era so-to-speak, which I think makes people a bit uncomfortable. Chris and Sonichu are becoming increasingly dull, even to the newer people coming to the community from the recent exposure he's been getting lately. As much as we'd hate to admit it, Chris is becoming more and more 'normal', or at least normal for internet dwellers, otakus and bronies. In the Idea Guy saga Chris and Sonichu were the things least focused on because they were both so dull compared to the identity of IG and the methods he was using. What does this mean exactly? That if the community continues to exist the only way to get any entertainment is through creating fan works and finding increasingly more manipulative ways to use Chris like a puppet?

Reminds me of a quote I read about The Residents. "At one point, the identities of the band members were the least interesting things about them. The fact that most of the discussion relating to the band these days is about their identities is a sign that their live shows, music and videos are no longer as interesting as they once were."

Okay, I divided the Idea Guy PMs to sections. Might revise it a bit more later. At least this makes it easier to cite in other articles.

Yeah, as Chris is getting older he's less likely to flip out. There are still points where he might, like the Doopie saga last year. He's also in a comfortable position financially thanks to his Patreon backers, so less stress on that front = less begging = less chances to freak out. But there are still some scenarios Chris hasn't gone through - like, we don't have a Job Saga thanks to his supporters. And Idea Guy proved that Chris actively wants to retreat to his imaginary land more than ever.

Idea Guy should've been more like the Lady Managers. They prodded him into discussing his bizarre views using various characters. Idea Guy, on the other hand, was too focused on scripting Sonichu to have Nazi/Neptunia shit. He also got good content (getting Chris to go to GameStop to hook up with a Neptunia girl, Chris abandoning Christianity for Neptunia, etc) but kept it behind the scenes instead of making the good stuff the main focus for some reason.

Similar thing with Quinn - commentary was more about people wondering about Quinn than Chris.

I have to go through and read all this Idea Guy stuff. It really does sound like he hang onto the few actually funny things, I wonder why. Chris going back to the GS he’s banned from and honking his horn expecting to meet a cartoon is pretty funny, even if there’s no video.
Is there any explanation on how he gained so much influence where other trolls couldn’t? Or why he got so much hate from KF? Other than that most of the shit was really lame.

Hoarding content isn't really a new thing, he was probably planning to reveal himself and post a thread with a lengthy explanation of everything he did. Chances are, he was saving the stuff like the Gamestop thing for his big reveal, along with possibly the photoshops he made and the audio files he used to manipulate Chris. We kind of saw evidence of this when he mentioned that he had stockpiled a lot of information which he would reveal if KF removed his and his family members dox. I don't get why his family was doxxed tbh, that just seems vindictive.

The explanation is that he lived close to Chris, so he had a physical presence. Apparently he dressed up like a soldier from Cwcville to tell him about the war going on in his fantasy world. It's nothing new really, an actual person living in the same area has more influence than a guy living in another country posting about him on a forum and tagging him in tweets.

I don't think another explanation on why he got so much hate from KF is required. Like I said in an earlier thread, cows go moo, dogs go woof, KF goes "This troll is boring and stupid and should die."

Chris was into new age BS like Subliminal Hypnosis and third eye mysticism, and was actively trying to communicate with the cartoon dimension just before Idea Guy showed up. So when he told Chris that the CWCville dimension was indeed real, it reaffirmed Chris's preexisting beliefs and made him malleable to what Idea Guy was saying, even if he hated it.

I think that was the main reason. People didn't like the ghostwritten aspect of things. Chris would post some edgy Sonichu/Nazi lore on FB and a thread would be made but there'd be nothing to really discuss about it since it was clearly written by someone else, and that went on for a while. It left a bad impression on people.

Also, some people were concerned with the mindfucking and how much power he was wielding over Chris.
He never met Chris (he lives in CA). What he did was take some screencaps from a news channel like CNN and photoshop the channel and headline to say something about CWCville. He also mixed some audio of various Neptunia characters with audio of Chris himself to make it seem like he was able to communicate with Chris's CWCville counterpart.

Really? I was sure I read somewhere that he dressed up like a soldier and appeared in front of Chris to tell him that he came from Cwcville. What might be happening is that there's so many dumps of information being released in short bursts about what he did that when I read it I get things confused or mix things up. I saw the photoshops and heard about the spliced audio recordings, but for some reason I thought that he had dressed up like a soldier first to convince Chris that their was actually a war going on, and that his fantasy world had become real, then sent him the photoshops and audio recordings while he had him convinced.

I know this is Chris we’re talking about but even so I’m a little surprised he got taken in by this. He’s fallen for some pretty blatant, ridiculous things but this may take the cakefarts. And the funniest part is Josh Wise probably thinks he’s a genius *smh*.

And Chris fell for it for months, not a day, not a week, months went by where Chris was still taking the bait hook line and sinker.
Shows just how much he's improved

They also combine "Tao" (Taoism), "Zen" (Zen Buddhism), and "Namaste" (Hindu but typically used in Western "New Age")?
