Was Barb really as much of a mollycoddler as Christory makes her out to be? That sort of behavior is generally "too much" whereas the Chandler's m.o. has historically been "too little, too late."

I sort of think a lot of that was a case of Barb saying the things a mother is "supposed to" say to say to her child, and Chris, lacking a certain critical filter, took those words as gospel and never let go.

 

This was a message Praetor wrote on the box of some bloke who bought the CWC autographed taser, what a bunch of fucking assholes

 

The worst part, however, I can envision someone actually attempting to zap someone and filming it. It's fucking Praetor for god's sake.

 

I wonder if Manchester High kids today know about the legend of Chris-Chan.

 

Deep down I wished one of those students would come here.

 

A "praetor" was "the commander of an army" and "an elected magistratus (magistrate)", per Wikipedia.

A group of weens calling themselves "Praetor" can sound annoying or pretentious somehow.

 

I would like to think Chris is a local legend in his area
there used to be KF users Ruckersvillian and Evel Knievel who claimed to be from Chris's area and they said they knew about Chris before ED discovered him

 

I wonder how Chris's neighbors at Branchland court feel about him? Especially with all of the weens driving by his house to make a pilgrimage

Powerlevel: Took a road trip once with a Kiwi to New York to celebrate another Kiwi's marriage and we decided to go down to Virginia and see some of the Christorical landmarks. From someone from the Midwest who is mostly used to everything being flat, I wasn't expecting PVCC being located on this really huge hill that by Midwest standards would qualify as a mountain.

It is nice to know the neighbors are aware of his online infamy. I think people are right in that he is treated like the village idiot

 

If now was in the days before the internet - or in an alternate timeline with no internet - it looks like CWC would still have local infamy.

I mean, if I had kids, I would definitely use Chris as an example of what not to do, especially what not to do on the internet.

 

The one lesson I'd probably tell them is that wikis aren't machines that can "overload" with information, and to just GTFO if you're discovered.

 

Local infamy self-contained only to anyone still living in Ruckersville and anyone that would still be at PVCC or at the places in Charlottesville that Chris would of regularly haunted. I can imagine a crusty old janitor recalling to youths the days of a man with a sign getting manhandled in a parking lot by the cops or an old lady working as a tenured professor speaking to her class about sexual harassment and using the attraction sign and the red string as a related story. That and a black kid remembering how an older man screamed at him over a card game.

In the comics, Chris uses this phrasing a lot: "X, Y, and I, we'll [do something]", as opposed to "X, Y, and I will [do something]." Is that a Southernism or unique to CWC-speak?
