I mean, you shouldn't accept a plea deal unless your lawyer thinks it is a good idea, but in his case his lawyer is begging him to, but he isn't listening.

If that is the case, yeah, he is pretty fucked, but it is due to his own stupidity

If Chris somehow was released and somehow wanted to get a job, any chances of him getting hired with that rap sheet may be shot nuked from orbit with a relativistic speed asteroid.

Another thing of note, the offense date is listed as July first, a mouth before his arrest date. According to Chris's discord messages he says he started having sex with Barb on June 27th but it's hazy what might have led up to that an what Chris might be leaving out. I don't know how they decided on July first but I suppose they had to pick a date so they went with one month before the date of arrest, perhpas based off of the recording or even testimony, hard to say. If we assume Chris stuck to his schedule of every third day, Chris would have had sex with Barb 11 or 12 times, the last time being the 30th, the day he was kicked out of the house.

 

Chris is kind of perverted.

That class 5 felony charge could very well have confirmed that Chris is getting ten years of hoping he doesn't drop the soap

I still can't believe it took a fucking year for the court to even decide with anything other than another continuance. Can't forget the fact that I actually thought he was getting a life sentence on the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorists attacks. That would have been a dark, yet disturbingly fitting, touch to the end of the Chris Chan saga, TBH.

 

An ironic end to the Saga of Fail is if Chris winds up in a mental institution for life.

In that case, Borb insisting on "mainstreaming" him to keep him out of a mental health program was like trying to leave a black hole - after falling past the event horizon.

Ten years might just be a life sentence for Chris. With a grand jury he's no longer facing a misdemeanor with time served and being put on a sex offender registry, he's facing actual prison time. Given what he know of Chris's situation he's likely getting the full ten years even if additional charges are off the table that long of time at any security level of prison is lot to contend with. Insanity plea isn't likely possible given the fact he had some degree of mental facilitates prior to being arrested, he might be able to be segregated in a medical wing of a prison if he is even considered a danger to himself but that might not happen given the nature of prisons particularity in the south. There's no telling how Chris's mental state is even now as he was so sure he was getting out yesterday, I don't know how many times Chris can keep making perfections that end up wrong and keep beveling everything will go his way, it might honestly be a lot but I don't know how he'll take to the fact he won't be going home, period. Perhaps he might slip into fantasies forever there's certainly no way he's going to get better.

 

If that happens then revoke his letter-writing privileges. I'd rather the rest of us didn't have to suffer with him.

Latest buzz over on KF is that the case could continue past the 1-year anniversary, with Chris remaining in the Jail of Fail - because felony.

 

If grand jury is set for the 8th, then duh, it's one year.

 

What I meant was that the case could go beyond that with more continuance(s).
