YouTube New CWC Documentary....

I finally watched it all of it So far. You guys do realize that most of his "whiteknighting" is veiled criticism of Chris, right? I haven't been on in a while so a don't know if that's been brought up yet.

 

PART 7!

In all these years I never heard of 'lil chris' and somehow missed the part where he talked to pandahalo about fucking a dog.

 

There is so much documented content about Chris that there is always something new for a fan to discover that's several years old.

 

I remember some radio show host saying we have more info on Chris' life than famous people from history like George Washington or Abraham Lincoln.

 

It gets thrown around every now and then that Chris is "the most documented human being ever". I don't know how anyone could confirm/disprove that claim but I'm inclined to believe it.
We don't have the teenage ramblings of George Washington or audio recordings of Ol' Honest Abe shitting his pants during a lovers' quarrel. But a lot of this is due to the fact that Chris has always been so willing to self document. He was the one who put the majority of his info on ED, he was the one who used Sonichu as a diary, he was the one who kept recording all the captain's logs and posting them online, etc.

 

This has actually been a pretty good documentary so far. Some fat could be trimmed from it I think but then again it’s about Chris and no detail is too minor.

 

Well it's just the way the internet is.

And also the time period. We would know a lot more about George and Abe if they were around today because of the internet. After all, the internet has allowed Chris to get his content out there in the first place. If he were back in the olden days he would be the village idiot and nothing more. In fact, there's certainly been thousands of people back then who would be regarded as lolcows if they were around today. Chris' crazy luck works both ways.

 

And if Chris was born just 50 to 100 years ago, he'd likely be a permanent guest in a nice padded room.

I personally don't believe that he is anywhere close to being the most documented human being ever. If you were to glance at the Cwcki or on Kiwi Farms you'd be inclined to think that, since theoretically every piece of information Chris posts online gets documented, and almost every encounter he has with people who have even a passing knowledge of the people who follow him gets documented.

But, a closer inspection reveals that although there are thousands of entries on the Cwcki, most of them are pretty short and insignificant, with the real meat of the supposed documentation going towards trolling sagas, useless information Chris posts online (Facebook statuses, for instance) and speculation on the part of Christorians.

The only reason why we believe that Chris is the most documented person is because (theoretically) all of the information we have on him is conveniently archived on a single site. Plus, editors and actual historians go through the information we do have on George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and John Lennon before books on them get published and information is released to the public. If we made a website compiling every scrap of information we have on Paul McCartney (every newspaper article about what he did during an appearance, every fan's recollection of what he did when he met them) which was similar to the Cwcki, it would easily surpass it.

Heck, with social media and the internet, it's possible to have documentation on the new crop of celebrities from the time they were born to the time they die. The main difference between them and Chris is that, for some odd reason, we care about and discuss virtually every small bit of information Chris posts online, we've had discussions (on Kiwi Farms at least) when Chris posted a picture of him eating at McDonald's. What other 'celebrity' has such a devoted following that is eager to document every piece of information drip-fed to them to the point that they'll go to great lengths to obtain more information?

 

That's a fair point. I think it's also worth mentioning that as far as Chris is concerned his life isn't particularly noteworthy outside of the trolling and Sonichu. If we don't get an update on his whereabouts for a week or two we can be confident in assuming he spent it in his room playing with legos or playstation.

 

PART 8

 

I'm loving this series so far, even with the minor details.
I've been listening to while I (try to) sleep.

 

Man that Julie+Bob conversation always gets to me. Bob had his faults but it's so clear during that chat how his later life was so unlike what he imagined.
Unable to connect with his family, share his most passionate hobbies/interests with his son, or even have meaningful conversations with others

 

I'm sure it's perfect for that!

Whenever it gets to the Sonichu issues, it comes off making me think someone's just standing there, flipping through pages and giving you this general idea of what's happening. Not that I want that, but it's an interesting take on chronicling the series.

 

You know I've been considering actually watching these but I've yet to be impressed by a Chris documentary.

And I still wonder to this day if it even is necessary to make one at this point. Making a documentary on a living person has never made sense to me.
