It's interesting how it's now slowly dying on FXX. Some seasons are definitely better than others and I really appreciate the more "intelligent" episodes like Flowers for Charlie.
I knew this really white trash family where I grew up (my parents only friends so I was stuck with them a lot) and the things they ended up doing made me realize that sunny 1,000% could be real. Switch Xans for Crack and same deal.

I just discovered this show about a year ago, and binge watched the entire thing in a week.

And what a magical, braindead week it was.

I'm having a hard time taking the Waitress gag seriously now that I know she's actually married to Charlie in real life.

 

I'm fairly certain it's doing better now critically and ratings wise than it ever has. This show is like a fine wine. It gets better with age. Every season they up the depravity and it's wonderful.

 

All I know about it was one conversation where one of my older brothers, who was young when this show was on TV, and my youngest brother, who likes My Little Pony, went off on an irritating tangent when the latter called himself a "brony" and the former mentioned this show and the word "jabroni".

I hated listening to both sides, especially since both went in with the premise of "I don't know about your show and I don't want to know about it, I just want you to like what I like".

He actually goes to a shrink and has diagnosed autism. I have neither of those things.

 

So, has anybody watched Season 12? I think they're setting up the next season to be the last one. And I think it's gonna end with something really dark. My money is on Dennis killing The Gang.

 

I would assume, with Kaitlin Olson now involved with the show "The Mick", that perhaps she wants to wind down her time on Sunny?

 

Not to mention, Charlie is getting more work in movies (like we all figured he would). It's only a matter of time before one or both of them can't do the show anymore. You can't have a show with just Mac, Dennis, and Frank and you certainly can't replace Charlie and Dee with new characters. At least they see the writing on the wall and are gonna let the show go out while it still has some of its spark.

 

After Charlie's last movie kinda sorta bombed, I kinda have the feeling that's gonna stop his momentum a little bit, at least with getting the lead in a movie. I'm sure he'll get some supporting roles though.
