Meta Idea guy was worse than we thought.

According to Kiwi Farm's Null, 'Idea guy' (Who's personas have been thoroughly exposed in that thread):

• Ran an extortion ring using money as a way of manipulating Chris

• Made him believe there was a WMD on the moon (when Chris was told otherwise he was upset because that was part of the leverage used against him)

• Used Ferguson riots as evidence that cwcville could be destroyed and Chris believed it as real.

I'm gonna quote Null in full for this paragraph.

All of this horrible shit just to extort $6000 worth of stuff from an obviously disabled person. Apparently law enforcement and those close to CWC IRL are useless and refuse to do anything in the near term outside putting him in a home.

Silver Lining? The motherfuckers who are behind idea guy gave Chris their home addresses. Bad idea since he kept receipts of everything. Oh lol.

And here some people say Bluespike went too far. This is...pretty disgusting.

 

He believed that a moon laser was going to nuke CWCville off the map. A real Graduon Groundburst apparently. But, if all of that is true, I'm going to be sick. Contact the local media where these assholes are. Maybe law enforcement there would get involved. But, what I want to know is why Chris would believe anyone who would have the resources to build the Brianna Wu Burgbuster would be placated with video games (aside from autism of course)?

 

I have no idea what to say but like everyone else on KF I think this is beyond stupid, this is criminal and should be treated as a crime

 

Because Chris wants to believe so earnestly that his cartoon worlds are real, anything in the realm of imagination can be used to manipulate him.

He gave into their demands because they said if he didn’t, they would blow up his imaginary city with their imaginary moon laser.

He thought up Cwcville by just willing it into existence, why would he find it outlandish that someone built a moon laser the same way?

 

Good Lord.

Just when I thought the whole Idea Guy debacle couldn't get any worse, I am proven wrong.

The worst part is the fact that the law enforcement won't do anything in response to an obvious crime.

 

Remember that Simpsons episode where Wiggum said "the law is powerless to help you?"

 

It seems like the law works when it shouldn't and it doesn't when it should

 

There are a few things that interest me:

• Why is null bringing this up now? If I'm not mistaken null has had access to Chris' accounts for a while now.
  
• Why the hell would you ship the stuff to your own home; why not to a PO box or a drop point?
• The FBI isn't going to do shit, an autistic guy is conned out of six grand, sure that means a lot to us but not to the government, this isn't terrorism
• It sounds like the police aren't doing anything, probably because of how absurd this all is
• Apart from the odd video and outburst I don't recall Chris freaking the fuck out about any of this, furthermore he's made no mention of moon bombs or CWCvill's destruction, I would think Chris would be talking more about this.
• I don't think null should be posting the dox, people may stalk this guy for real or worse and before anyone says he deserves I'd just like to say hurting this guy isn't going to solve anything, its just going add to work the police have to do and may even obfuscate this guy's prosecution. What this guy needs is to compensate Chris and receive due process not a baseball bat to the knees, being a violent criminal makes you no better then him, and in the same way calling this guy's employer and getting him fired won't bring him any closer to trail and in fact may make a jury more sympathetic if there ever is one. Just to clarify, I do think, based on whats presented, that this guy is guilty and further more is a piece of shit but I don't think dispensing internet street justice is a good thing, and really, is ever a good thing. You are allowed to disagree with me, this is just my opinion.
  
• I find it interesting how despite Chris is believe in his fantasy world and despite how harmful IG was he was able to fulfill Chris' longing for escapism even netting him an imaginary husband and wife. Kinda make you wonder what Chris would do without his dilutions
• Is it ethical to read to read Sonchu 16 if it ever gets released?

Actually when you say it like that, it makes a ton of sense why they aren't doing anything

 

Cops really can't do anything unless Chris presses charges and gives them a statement. Expecting the FBI to give a fuck about a $6k hustle is pretty optimistic. Plus it seems super weird legally if these guys threatened to destroy an imaginary city with an imaginary moon laser.

 

I might be missing a few tidbits about null/Chris but I'm a bit skeptical about this. Chris told null that the con he was kicked locked out of only gave him a Facebook warning and null believed it, how do we know this isn't null twisting the truth? You'd think null would have Chris gather all the evidence and go to the police (I have a hard time believing that they'd do absolutely nothing) or pressure the police if Chris already has done so.
Finally, as @One Too Many said, why bring this up now? Why not sooner.

Apparently, Chris gave Null/Captain/Marv access to all his internet accounts, so in regards to the con thing, I’m more apt to believe that a message was sent, though I’m skeptical that it was the only warning and that Chris may not have understood any verbal cues.

My guess is as good as any as to why Null’s releasing this stuff now - probably because he’s not getting assistance from law enforcement. I’m not sure if by doing so he’s hampered any potential investigation down the line but only time will tell.

 

Seriously, fuck our law enforcement.

 

It’s not so much the police not doing their jobs, cases like this usually require hiring a lawyer and starting a lawsuit...or not letting yourself get scammed in the first place. I don’t think it works where you call 911 and tell them you were scammed out of money and the cops go arrest the alleged scammer.

 

Holy fuck, I......holy fuck. To be honest, I don't think any legal action can or will be taken. I know that there are folks saying that "we're no better than the two of them of we fuck with them." To be honest, none of our slates are that clean anyway if we're even here, so........infer from that what you will, Club.

 

I'm surprised chris had any money to extort, but jesus. This shit makes Bluespike look like nothing.

And its further proof to me that chris needs to be put in a home, he needs to have some sort of authority figure looking over him at all times.
