Games that were not as fun as you remembered them

Personally the only game which did gave me a challenge was just against Cynthia though to be fair at the time my team was really underlevelled and looking back my team was at a huge disadvantage against her team.

It's been years since I beaten them and it may be possible that if I were to be fully prepared these games would be fine, though still enjoyable.

 

Civilization 2 isn't as fun as I remember it now, even though it's the best in the series.*

Street Fighter EX has a great soundtrack I would hear from time to time. Too bad the same can't be said about the gameplay.

 

Fallout 3. Loved the game when it came out but playing it now, I can see how shit it is even without comparing it to New Vegas. I didb't mind percentage based stat checks or purified water being the second half of the main plot though I can imagine Todd's writers could of made that better in "we need industrial scale production of clean drinking water" since I can't imagine anyone can live well eating irradiated dog meat.

Iraddiated dog meat because Bethesda didn't bother making mutant vegetables for farmers to harvest.

 

Reminds me of this quote from another site about the Fallout universe:

What makes it all the more funny is that with the OG Fallout games, you had some areas where they did grow crops and had some level of cleanliness (Vault City, NCR, Shady Sands, etc.) Hell, if a town in a modern Fallout game is going to have some level of cleanliness, at least have some NPC mention finding some use in random junk a player would find or saying how having rusty poles near a walkway is a great way to waste precious med supplies in a crappy wasteland village.

Yeah, I don't really get how being a "Genwunner" is even a thing.

 

I will say I do love Pokemon Crystal and it is my favorite Pokemon game, but I do agree about gen 1, it is a totally glitchy mess and it was literally this close to be so glitchy that it was unplayable which could have very well happen and Pokemon as we know it could have never happened and Pokemon would only be remembered as an unplayable glitchy mess of a game made fun of by people who make fun of old shitty games.

 

The coding was barely held together with q-tips and elmer's glue. In fact it was so poorly coded that a lot of the most well-known glitches outside of Japan happened during the localization process(like pretty much every glitch that make MissingNO. easily encounterable, which is why it is pretty much unknown in the Japanese fanbase), though the Japanese versions were, surprisingly, even worse(like simply switching items with the select button could make you reach the credits before you even get to Viridian Forest)
