I'd really like a peek at the Chandler household's finances. I'm surprised that Chris isn't asking more for these, given his usual sales tactics.

I was actually thinking of buying one of them but they're priced way too high. I doubt they'll get their asking price.
Also, I like Bob "Burning Crosses" Chandler had a "Fight Against Racism" cover.

He really goes all-out to remind us all that he's a straight male female transgender lesbian soul, doesn't he?

There was no "Rainbow Flag" in 1967, you fucking idiot! (Designed in 1978). He even fails at Gay History (says Chandler Cats as though she were surprised). NOTHING gay about it, not even the rainbow. God he must think a 'first day cover' is what happens when you get lucky and just jump straight to Date Three!

Edit: because I'm fucking blind and thought it said '87 and was for the Vancouver World Expo -- I'm a fucking moron. I'm gonna go take a pill now ...

I have conflicting feelings over this. On one hand it is far healthier for Chris to sell things from the horde, rather then beg for money, and yet of all the things to sell, it is Bobs stamp collection.

Bob is no saint, but for Chris to do this is a little skeevy to me.

It's probable that Barb told him to post them.

Probably. Considering how annoyed she was at having to pawn her necklace, I can see her selling Bobs stuff over her own precious trash.

It's a weird irony that the parent who called him a fag also has a rainbow stamp in his collection. I wonder how Bob would have felt knowing his failure of a kid is not only selling a project that he probably spent decades on but is now signing his legacy to a group that he clearly wanted nothing to do with.
    Stay classy Chris

I kinda like stamps, but I have doubts on the quality of the collection after the conditions it was stored in. (Unless Bob had a secret clean space hidden somewhere in the hoard)

I'm with you, but I think the things that actually WERE Bob's were kept wrangled in a Barb-Safe zone. As covers they look fine. The problems I see with them are broken or unclear cancel marks and when you collect a cover you want a clean, crisp cancellation mark. Some stamps can be very valuable (The Inverted Jenny and other errors) but many are just interesting hobby pieces and Bob probably enjoyed them because he seemed to be a man who enjoyed learning about other countries even though he had no clue how to prove Molvania didn't exist. Maybe we should design it a stamp. Stamp collecting is a nice hobby simply due to the fact that it requires little space, isn't messy and it's not that expensive to get started. It's a nice way to remember a foreign visit or teach your kids geography. I'm sure bob wished he could have shared that.

Barb and Chris have this weird view of sentimentality. Usually a person would be troubled to sell their dead father's sentimental items because it reminds them of their father, but when the finachu crisis started, Bob's violin was the first to go.
Maybe it's selfish, maybe it's practical since he can't argue to keep it anymore. Who knows.

Today Chris decided to sell Chris's stamps. This is one thing I'd actually be willing to pay for, since I know people who collect stamps, and I can buy these for them.

What do you think? Are these good prices for stamps? Would you be willing to pay some stamps from Chris? How is Operation: BOB'S CLOTHES going?

Aside from him mound of toys and games, I don't believe Chris or Barb own anything of value.

I don't see anything wrong with selling the stamp collection. It's not like they have any family to pass it down to and I'm sure they have other Bob mementos around we just don't know about.

It would just be nice to not see frivolous spending on toys along side it.

Bob's belongings are probably the only things in 14BC that have any second hand value.
