I read a biography on Charles Schulz a few years ago and some people suggested Schulz end the strip by having Charlie Brown kick the football, but he never did.

Are cartoons, vidya, trolls, and "tomgirl" all CWC thinks about?

"ol' boy"! I miss Marvin; I want him to defend this and claim that people find Chris intentionally funny.:barbage::medal:

Nobody cares why Lucy was the only one to kick that ball; it was just a child's cartoon.
    This is autistic fixation.

Well, there was that one strip where Lucy had to go do something, so Rerun held the ball. Rerun then walked back into their house. Lucy asked "Did you pull it away?" and he replied "You'll never know..."

I am genuinely amazed with Charlie Brown being the topic, Chris actually wasn't going full-autistic-tranny-manladybaby-Gaga over the ambiguously lesbian relationship between Peppermint Patty and Marcie.

    Let's keep it that way.

Speaking of Marvin, I know he mentioned to know Chris on a personal level, but the entire time I was on the farms, and borderline every Chris post, Marvin would sit there and defend Chris on certain topics, "Chris has a ton of irl friends, including men outside the internet," and I'm still wondering why to this day he gave off the vibe of a white knight because he would defend Chris posts/personal life, and not a single person tried to call him on his bullshit.

What bullshit? Marvin's right that Chris has IRL friends, including men.

Well then my mistake. Given what we know of Chris, and his thoughts of being friendly towards men who are not his father nor Santa Claus, I guess it just kinda seemed like a exaggeration.

I wonder if Chris even recognizes (football gag aside) that Peanuts is a catalog of failure, disappointment, and despair. It's one of the most aggressively melancholy popular works of the 20th century. As for Marvin, I never figured him to be a white knight, but there were a few times I felt that he was too close to Chris to see things clearly. Given his proximity to Chris, I just figured that he would have a more nuanced perception. As he used to say, "don't take the CWCki so seriously. It's supposed to be funny."

People get weird about Marvin sometimes. I think it's from trying to read too much into things he said. For the most part if you weren't a total A-Log or weird Inner Circle Conspiracy weirdo like P-Logic he was easy to get along with and consistent about things.

I agree, Chris has friends within the context of being Chris, which to normal people is probably completely different since his brain is cut off from social intuition.

Chris represents a unique challenge because, even for autistic people, Chris is way out there because he had no help as a child. I think Chris has friends for now, but he will alienate them after Barb dies because of his clingy and outlandish behavior.

Off-topic, but did P-Logic have any history with Null or the Inner Circle?

@catparty will probably remember better than I do, but I believe that he tried to weasel his way into the "inner circle" by proposing a terrible plan to Marvin. Once he was rebuffed, he went into vendetta mode and started putting on his tinfoil hat with anything Chris-related.

Rerun would have let Charlie Brown kick the ball. He wasn't an ass like Lucy.

I thought so too. Rerun's name doesn't always have to justify the means!

I think I've read that somewhere.
