Farcry series thread

Ok I know nothing about vidya. But I got far cry 3 and holy shit this is fun it's war lord simulator with dubstep and islands. I love the sand box feel and lay out.

Are the others like this? Is my taste pleb?

I love how it's got the open feel of like grand theft auto but also a story that I don't much care about yet Im pushed to advance for next area etc. The story isn't bad, just I don't feel pulled in.

The side quests are just a hoot. Also as a raging fire arm autist I love the gun choices and mods. I like how features the weapons we know and love from cinema and video games and some odd balls. Right now running a canned reflex sight mp5 absurdly good.

The skill tree is great just adds more. Or a reason to play the main story. But you could live with out. So more on flexibility I like.

What one should I get next? I'm told 2 is the joespeh kony simulator so I'm leaning but the engine isn't as great as 3..

 

If I were you I'd stop at 3. It starts getting bland after that.

 

Far cry 4 is pretty great but very similar to the others. If you finish 3 and want more then give 4 a try, it's fun and does improve on the previous games a bit. Primal is a bit different because it take place in the stone age but is unfortunately extremely easy.

5 looks interesting.

 

If you're ooen for other series, you might want to give Fallout: New Vegas a try. It has nice side quests and fun guns and while it doesn't have a skill tree, it has perks to mess around with.

 

I'll have to give it a shot, /k/ always speaks highly of it and I am a big fan of FO 1-2 but 3 got me off the series with a quickness.
