    That anecdote comes off as pretty reasonable since the way most of his food comes out indicates pretty clearly that he's impatient and tends towards cooking at high temperatures on purpose to save time. Case in point with why most of his food comes out looking burnt on the outside, yet remains undercooked on the inside.

    Wow, he's just lacing his undercooked burger with spice and sugar to basically kill any bad taste that occurs in it... then he decides to change the recipe he's aping to render the taste even more choked, with vinegar this time to boot. Honestly, the best burgers I've had are just simple pure beef burgers with salt, pepper, and some garlic.

    Yeah, basically he doesn't follow the basic instructions, then when he screws up he just blames the product or the ingredients (e.x. forgets something as basic as using vinegar when making pickles, then just blames the freakin' seasoning).

    The DarkSydePhil of cooking analogy seems pretty accurate. I've cooked some of his stuff and the recipies themselves aren't always that bad, but a lot of his attempts at demonstrating things are pretty embarrassing.

    Here's one where he doesn't read the instructions for an induction cooktop then blames the product when it screws up a fried egg:



    Another one where he blames the 'pancake pen' because he put too much water in and the batter is too runny:

    Oh god, that's beautiful. He cannot accept that it's his own fuck-ups that result in the product not working as advertised, or if he thinks he can get away with it, pretend he didn't fuck up. Good example of that is whenever he jams a thermometer in his meat when grilling; note how it's usually close to the surface whenever he does it. He then pretends that undercooked interiors is normal.

    He's really someone who would benefit from cooking his meat products dutch-oven style, because the high standing walls in a dutch-oven frying pan will channel the heat inward and cook the interior of the meat faster while it grills like usual on the outside.

    I'd love to see that, mainly because since he can't even use a blender correctly I predict he's fuck up using the dutch-oven and then blame the poor meal on it.

    In other news, fish scares Jack:

    Probably because undercooking fish results in very horrible things.

    In this, Jack creates a gelatinous land-fish by boiling genetic ingredients in a plastic bag, providing it with eyes so it can express its pain but neglects to give it a mouth with which to scream.

    Once I saw those fucking salad vids where he'd spoon mayo and beans and go, "Must eat food right here." I knew the man was a car accident. I'd never want to experience it but can't help but watch it unfold.

    I think it was canned pork n' beans, mayo, onion and vinegar. I wouldn't feed that to my dog let alone eat it.
