Great to be here! More so after reading up on what happened to Kiwi farms.

I'll stay for Chris, but poke around the other parts as well.

    It's great to be here.
On Kiwi Farms, I always prefered the so-bad-it's-good stuff over the SJWs, so I approve.

Every lowcow of the year should have been Chris! We know Chris is the champion, the only one worth following.

I agree though, I feel like if everyone was questioned in court or something why they follow Chris, most people would generally say they like the guy and laugh at his ridiculous life, fuck half of us morons donated to the asshole. I don't feel like that was the case for a lot of the other lolcows, I feel like a lot of that stuff was like legitimate hatred of the person. I feel like a-logging against Chris was forbidden but I feel like a lot of other lolcows got a-logged constantly. It can also be argued though that most weren't likable as chris. Idk I just never saw a point in following the antics of someone you hate.

Maybe extend the a log rule to everyone.

The Moviebob thread was a good example of this. So many people were a-logging him, bashing SMB3 and Mario in general only because he likes it, and generally acting like opposite opinion Bob. It got so bad that I eventually stopped reading it altogether.

I enjoyed the farms, but was never really comfortable with a lot of the darker things that went on there; focusing on content only makes a lot of sense to me, with an exception for the CWC ofc. Eventually, KF2 will be up and running and we can go there to lol at lolcows.

It didn't help that focusing on other cows mean't having threads that were less of a lol-cow and more of "I don't like this person".

I enjoyed the Farms as well since it began but on that same boat, there were some thing sI didn't like. If KF2 does come up, we can go back there to laugh at other lol-cows while this place keeps it's focus on CWC.

This sounds fair. If I wanted lolcows, I'll just wait for Kiwifarms 2: Autistic Boogaloo.

Would written materials also include blogs, or would that be considered too personal?

Also, what if the content of questionable quality (CQQ) is only a proposal by one entity to be written by another entity who may approach the project from a position of irony?

It was good when it was people like Purple Kecleon, JustinRPG, Iconoclast, and Tamers but then we'd get things like one sperg starting threads on every conservative/anti-SJW YouTuber who was remotely popular and random threads for boring tranny SJWs. A proper lolcow has to be interesting and either overreact or comically underreact to criticism in order to be funny.

    Artcows are best cows.

I feel confident that if we focus solely on content, we can avoid being trapped into the old dramas of "How dare you like something I hate &/or are jealous of? I'm not triggered; you're triggered!" hypocrisy. Not everyone is guilty of this of course, but not everyone can resist their own needs to vent their confusion or audacity. It's just my opinion, but I suspect the common traps of just picking on politics, religion, and fandoms we don't like will only serve to detract from the mission statement.

As an example, I still think it's horribly regrettable getting wrapped up in alienating TJ Church when he visited the Kiwi Farms. It must suck when people only enjoy your content from an ironic perspective, as knowing so likely invariably taints your craft, however dubious its...merits. I feel fairly confident the majority of us managed to avoid treating him unfairly due to his illnesses and such, but I also seem to remember that wasn't always the case for every subject. With the exception of most edgelord fetishists such as on DeviantArt (I'm still convinced they just feel a sardonic power high from making people uncomfortable rather than derive sexual satisfaction from their postings), I think it's probably for the best not to interfere with a person's creative process, and leave such interventions up to people they personally consort with. Basically, I don't think it's judicious to become too involved.

Yeah, never forget how some users like Asterisk tried to make a thread on Mr. Metokur. Sure one can say that YouTuber is autistic or something related to that but lol-cow? Unless the guy has been having meltdowns and making empty threats to critics, I don't think he'd count as a lol-cow. Mentioning boring transgendered SJW's, the problem with them is that it's all diluted. You could say this person is a lol-cow from Tumblr but if there's nothing new on the table, one would ask "what's the point?"

That was a problem with the Kiwi. The drama over what counted as a lol-cow would cause some users to get in arms over it. Even if it wasn't over some SJW or anti-SJW YouTuber, you did have drama over other things. To mention Asterisk again, there was a time he did chimp out in a circumcision thread because someone was disagreeing with him on something related to circumcision. And while some threads were of a community watch nature than lol-cow nature, some disagreements would also be bound on politics related things like Alt-Right and such.

Thus the reason why I joined this forum; the community on the Farms was unique in that, while it was gigantic & diverse for a forum, the community was cohesive & genuinely not-shitty, which is rare. Spergs with retarded, backwards and uninformed opinions were curbed very quickly when they would stand unchallenged anywhere else because said sperg happens to be in the lead admin's circle jerk of friends. In many instances, administrators are completely unprepared to run a community and they pull weird and stupid moves when met with confrontation. I once saw an administrator notice that a troll wreaking havoc on the board shared the same IP address as one of the regulars, but he somehow failed to recognize a correlation. Suffice to say, he was baffled when the troll came back with a new account. Most forums I find are just lolcow villages.

For that reason, I'm happy this little refugee camp exists. It is a shame that we lost, what, 80% of the members we had on KF? The bright side is no more putting up with autists like Asterisk. A fair trade.

I'm half tempted to suggest creating a mirror of KF & starting over from scratch, but that's a fuckton of infrastructure to establish, not to mention the money involved. If we were to do it, I'd suggest keeping it private. It was funny when our threads made the first result when searching a cow's name, but it also led to the conclusion we're left with now.

I don't see that becoming a thing, unless we ourselves devolve into that behavior. Most forums are kept and maintained by a group of mutual acquaintances. I don't see where we'd have the draw power to suddenly find ourselves swarmed with undesirables. It's not a bustling forum with a well defined identity, and there are plenty of places to talk about Chris.

I'd prefer starting off with the big names, like Marjan and Iconoclast.

I legitimately hope he's forming a lawsuit against that faggot as we speak. Said brit-fag committed actual libel to get people fired and ruin their future career prospects. And yes, you can file a lawsuit against someone overseas. It's happened before, and it involved a Holocaust denier. Also, the way defamation laws work in the United Kingdom is that, rather than the accuser shoulder the burden of proof, the accused has to prove it's not defamation.

I hate to ask but how could you not hate people like Nick Bate & PAB? We did cover genuinely deplorable people, you know.

Don't forget his autistic list. That was the worst offender.

Exactly. What's the difference between an SJW and someone who labels people as spergs because they don't agree with somebody's opinion? If you believe opinions don't matter, then it's just as important to take someone else's opinion with a grain of salt as much as your own.

Oh the irony that I mostly lost interest in Chris. Legit? I'm cool with what's here now, but I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of extra items; I was getting into the food section on the farms and of the lot, I wouldn't mind seeing the Community watch element back at least. That could be tame without actively bringing the hammer down.

Still, ain't the mod, and I'm chill with the current format.

    Too bad KF is gone
I'll miss the Trump salt thread...and the Brianna Wu one, and of course Tom Preston thread.
I rarely posted but it was fun to lurk.
I am glad this forum exists at least

I've seen a few people mention Preston. His artwork would definitely qualify for a thread here. And his Patreon, since it's related to his art. From what I remember that'd be about 95% of what his KF thread talked about.

So, are threads about Internet lolcows making a comeback here after all?
