Legal Jail of Fail

I think Chris can't be held in jail more than a year while awaiting trial, but the case could still continue.

 

I mean, theoretically they can, but at that point, Chris would have already been sentenced to prison.

 

Isn’t there a hearing coming up?m

edit: July 28th is his next court date.

 

5 days to the next court date.

9 days to the 1 year anniversary of the Jail of Fail.

 

So much for a speedy trial, my goodness.

 

I think "Honor Roll" somehow waived that right.

 

Looks like the case is being sent to a grand jury.

 

I wonder how long it usually takes for a grand jury to deliberate.

 

I guess "Honor Roll" is convinced he's innocent, and has too much of a bloated ego to plead guilty.

Remember that trial @Cyan went to? Chris was hesitant to admit guilt back then - with far less ego.

Yep, it’s been over a year.

To put this into perspective, when Chris was arrested, nobody had heard of Squid Game, Omicron was just another Greek letter, Kanye West had yet to confirm a release date for his Donda album, and Will Smith was still a very well-respected actor.

 

Time flies when your wasting away in a jail cell.

 

How different this past year could've been to Chris had he simply not incested Barb.

This is America. We like the idea of certain virtues, just not the actual practice of them. But I think a lot of this is Heilberg's doing. When the Golden Lolcow shows up in your office and says he incested his mom because Dimension Merge, you need all the time you can get.

First, they've got to watch all 60+ episodes of Geno Samuel's docuseries. No telling how long that will take.
