Just a little thread to discuss this cartoon I've been watching and actually enjoying quite a bit. The cartoon itself is cute, cuddly, a little bit dark and fun without a lot of continuity at all. It reminds me of the older cartoons like Tom And Jerry.

Personally, I was kind of relieved to see a modern cartoon like this. With all of the modern cartoons like Steven Universe, Adventure Time, The Amazing World Of Gumball, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Star Vs. The Forces Of Evil, etc. I kind of missed the old style of cartoon. The cartoons which focused on telling light-hearted self-contained stories which made me chuckle for a few brief moments and would occasionally warm my heart a little bit instead of making me cry as the characters explore their dark pasts, confront the evil in the hearts of man, deal with grief and substance abuse and relationship problems and...ugh...I didn't realize how desperately I wanted something like Bunnicula until I started watching the episodes.

    Thoughts?

I read the books a long time ago - I'll have to check it out.

I would definitely recommend watching at least one episode. It's made by the guy who made Grim and Evil, and it kind of shows. Some people mentioned that it was a lot less dark and had a lot less adult references than his other cartoons, but in some ways the lightness of tone works in its favor. Also, there's a lot of adult humor, so I don't know where that criticism came from. There's one really awkwardly placed joke early on about a character sticking a harmonica up his bum, and another episode where it kind of feels like they sent up a plot element just to get the characters to say 'BJ' a lot.
