The irony of a forum that regularly shits on unoriginal Sonic OCs having a thread dedicated to lusting over even less original OCs (IT'S LITERALLY JUST PEACH IN DIFFERENT DRESSES, FFS) would have been hilarious if it wasn't so goddamn embarassing.

(And FYI for Scotty boy: the real reason Perfect Dark Zero was bad was simply because it got moved from the original Xbox (itself moved from the GameCube) to the Xbox 360 with no real time to really fine tune it to look like a truly HD title, among other problems that rise when software gets moved to hardware it wasn't made for. This was done because PDZ was in a more finished state than Halo 3 and Gears of War, and Microsoft knew they needed an FPS as an Xbox launch title. Point is, Microsoft didn't personally abuse anyone at Rare, and you are only helping to spread the shit ton of misinformation that formed as a result of that buyout (see also: Miyamoto's (alleged) opinion on Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye 007 (where Activision became a fourth entity over that game's misinformation), Conker's Bad Fur Day and its Xbox remake, Star Fox Adventures / Dinosaur Planet, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (a game that Rare had no involvement with, yet still got caught in this misinformation war), and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts).)

Something I want to point out about the Final Fantasy "parody" comics in VG Cats: almost all of the ones we've seen so far have been about XI (more likely because Square-Enix payed Scott for those) and VII; the only exceptions was that Tactics Advance one, the FF1 one (that was just a guest comic for 8-Bit Theater, so it doesn't count), and (allegedly) The Crystal Chronicles (which didn't even used anything from the game; it was just an obnoxious fanboy rant using talking vegetables as the strawmen).

 

These just keep going on and on. And @Fauna Fox is only up to the comics from 2005?

Maybe the only advantage "VG Cats" has over "Sonichu" is that the art isn't as bad?

That is sadly the ultimate fate of anything that reaches that level of popularity: unfunny hacks see it and beat it to the ground with the same overused jokes that they've deluded themselves into thinking they're offering a unique twist on a stale joke (that most of the time, wasn't even that funny to begin with). This is very much also the case with Ocarina of Time, Metal Gear Solid, and Street Fighter II, and Breath of the Wild and Persona 5 are very much heading in that same direction. It's not just limited to video games, either: quite possibly the biggest victim of this shit is the original Star Wars trilogy.

Just going to point out that low supplies was far from the main reason why the PS Triple Ballin' had a rocky launch that resulted in the console selling less units than both the Wii and the 360, if that was even a thing. It has more to do with how Sony shot themselves in the foot with their E3 conference, weird ass commercials that tell consumers nothing about the price, and of course, the SIX HUNDRED DOLLAR price tag at launch.
