"Speed"? He sewed for half an hour and it looks worse than when he started.

In all seriousness he should have it done professionally.

The comment about the buyer not paying due to the shoddy restoration is how the ween who bought this is going to get out of paying. If Chris were smart (bare with me) he wouldn't have offered to restore at all. Looking at it as though it were a shirt that's actually worth 20 grand, No one but an eccentric millionaire would ever wear something so expensive around so there isn't a need to make it functional again. Removing the damage removes the "Historicity" of the item, especially if its not done professionally.

He thinks it's worth more now. When he finally cancels the current bid and re-lists it, it's gonna be for the price of a new house instead of a new car.

 

If this is a masterpiece, I'd love to see what a shoddy job of his would look like.

I get being proud of something , even if it isn't very good, because it was difficult for you to do/make but don't call it a masterpiece!

So the shirt is a "masterpiece" and Chris thinks merely saying something unpleasant makes one a "hater."

Chris' ego survived the fire too, and much more intact than the shirt.

Also that Skylanders avatar is everywhere Chris is.

In calling his patch job a masterpiece, I'm reminded of both when he said he did a "fucking awesome job" on Genesis of the Lovehogs and when he "improved" a piece of fan art that was well above his basic skills. Ah, it's good when this otherwise dull begging cycle produces gems like this.

And why wouldnt he? In his mind anything he creates or does is a perfect masterpiece simply because it was HIM who made or did it. Picasso, Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Shakespeare--all morons. It's all about HIM. The "great" creator of Sonichu and Rosechu. The shirt alone is worth tens of thousands (probably millions but he settles for tens of thousands) to him, and now that he's done the "sewing" himself it's worth even more. . .because he's the one who did it.

Which is why I hope nobody actually buys this. Also contacting the second bidder if the current one doesn't pay is against Ebay's policy, so just watch Chris to go for the next bidder if the current one doesn't pay only for THAT bidder to report him to Ebay, who might ban his account (Again? Is it again? Has be been banned from Ebay before? I can't remember).

Either way, proud of his shirt and proud of his sewing job.

If memory serves, he wasn't banned from Ebay per se, but he has had restrictions placed on his account. Because of this and the limited amount of auctions he was able to have open at a time he opened a second Ebay account under a different name
