    The comic doesn't become about Chris until the very end so he has to live vicariously through his characters. Come to think of it the lack of Chris and focus on the title character might explain the unbelievably self-indulgent final pages of this comic
    wherein Blake wants to give Christine a bronsky

    If Chris was a better writer, Sonichu connecting with a homeless woman over having been ostracized from his Pikachu family would have been an interesting story arc. Alas, it's Chris writing it, so it comes across as Sonichu trying to one-up a homeless woman because his past problems are greater than her ongoing problems.

    And the plot gets dropped after a page so we can see Blake being racist.

    I think by the end of Sonichu so far, the "comic" is just a word salad "novel" with the occasional black and white illustration.

    I keep getting thrown off because he always starts the dialogue in the upper right hand corner of these dialogue dumps instead of the left. So I end up reading it all out of order and have to go back and try again.

    Consistent dialog bubble placement is something lolcows seem to struggle with.

    Another example are the comics Bryce Cherry makes.

    If Sonichu were to continue indefinitely, it could eventually end up like a typical page in the Library of Babel.

    IMO, while this is still not even remotely as insane or memorable as the old Sonichu comics, they're still miles better than 12-9 beyond (where it's just brony shit and what the Idea Guys considered funny, ie, low hanging edgelord fruit (LOLOLOL NAZIS) and their shit tastes in anime).

    This is my least favorite plot arc though, it feels like a "first period" story and Chris has no business writing about that.
