New to the club so sorry if this sucks lol
One of the best genres to have a so bad it’s good watch for is Kung Fu Movies. During the 70’s and 80’s, and even up to today, a lot of cheap shlock is pumped out, which then gets poorly dubbed and cut up even more once it’s shipped overseas, resulting in some of the most bizarre attempts at films possible. If you want to find a terrible kung fu flick, I’d highly recommend the YouTube channel “Wu Tang Collection”,(https://youtube.com/c/WuTangCollectionDope) they have plenty of b, c, and z-tier kickfests for you to enjoy
To start off, I want to recommend a film I personally love by the master himself, Godfrey Ho.

Godfrey was known for making Kung fu films cheap, quick, and barely intelligible. It’s a nonstop montage of fights, poorly dubbed dialogue, and not a single break to understand what you’re even seeing. If it wasn’t bad enough, Godfrey was know to take scenes and bits from separate movies, and just edit them into other ones, resulting in a barely watchable mess if you want unironic quality. But since none of us care for that, these movies are perfect for watching and mocking with a friend
Now the movie from him I really wanna recommend (though you can basically watch any, he’s made so much), is Shaolin Drunk Monkey (1985). [IMG]
I could try to explain the plot to you, but I’m not even aware of what it is half the time. All I know is there is a chef, he trains with this old master by using some pulley system to lift the master into the air and other nonsense methods, and eventually defeats the big evil guy, along with getting to bone some random girl. I know my summary isn’t doing it justice, but it’s best to just go in blind I’d say. If you have nothing better to do, then this movie is a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end

Thank you for reading so far, this is my first OP so I know it probably bites, if you have any criticisms or suggestions to make it better I’m open to anything, peace.

What about that movie where the guy orders a pound of nuts?

And he just leaves? With nuts?

Wondering if we can include ninja flicks in this too? A lot of them did freely crib from the kung fu genre.

Godfrey Ho was unironically an underappreciated genius when it came to low-budget filmmaking. The Roger Corman of Hong Kong!

I remember seeing part of this one odd (American?) movie with some guy who discovers this cave with a cache of ninja weapons.

Then for some reason he goes on a rampage as a ninja.

(was a little kid at the time so that may be clouding memory of it)
