In the late 1980s, there was "Nintendo Cereal".

Half the box was Zelda shapes, the other was Mario shapes.

The ad jingle was to that "underground Mario level" theme, and one of the lines was "Nintendo! It's a cereal! Wow!"

 

If supermarkets and malls were completely honest

 

For y e a r s I had that jingle stuck in my head.

 

Whether you like it or not, this is true character development

Remember that, when it comes to commercials, there is no such thing as bad publicity

 

The American commercial for Yohsi's Island had a fat guy at a restaurant gorging himself (as a metaphor for how much content the game had), and as bonus stuff was mentioned, the guy exploded, sending food everywhere. In other words, augh yeah: the commercial.

 

Obviously fake, but I felt this was hilarious enough to include in this thread

 

The first time I saw that commercial it was in a YTP of Toy Story. Buzz watched that instead of the Buzz Lightyear toy commercial and was disillusioned.

Since Space Jam 2 is a thing (that could crash), here's a commercial for Space Jam back when McDonalds did some shilling for it.

 

Speaking of Looney Tunes, here's an AT&T Valentine's Day commercial featuring Pepe le Pew and Penelope Pussycat in a completely consensual relationship (the the Twitter cancel warriors will continue to ignore)

 

Something about rape culture. Honestly, keep the skunk but use some disclaimers to say his shit may not vibe well today. INB4 one claims this supports rape culture or some shit despite the fact one can still support women and the like.

Also some Pakistani Micky D's starring Sonic and friends.

 

He's inspired a lot of people alright. Mainly Discord mods and competitive Smash Bros players.
And as a bonus, my favorite Subway commercial: Jared Fogle in court (you seriously can't make this shit up)
