There are some songs I enjoy a lot, aside from a section or two in the song that makes me cringe. I assume that at least some people here feel the same way about a few songs, so maybe we could share some of them and talk a little bit about these moments and why they make you cringe a little.

I will Follow You Into The Dark - In The Blackest Of Roooooooooommmmmmsssss

This song is pretty good and I enjoy it quite a bit, but I've never listened to the song without cringing when Ben does that high-pitched singing during that one word. He sustains the note for a period of time, which is unfortunate because it sounds out-of-place and incredibly weak, almost as though he's embarrassed about singing that one part of the song.

War - SOUNDS OF THE ah-uh.....SUFFERING SOUND!!!

This song is a joke song composed by Varg Vikernes with Euronymous (who Varg would later murder) playing a guitar solo near the end. A number of black metal fans assume that the intro contains a mistake, with Varg saying "This is, uh, war," when he's actually saying "This is for her, war," which doesn't really make it much better. The most cringeworthy part of this song occurs when Varg is screaming, and then he makes a weird cough or something immediately after the scream. Among black metal fans, the cough or whatever and the intro has become a bit of an in-joke.

Sterile Nails and Thunderbowels - Yoda talks about killing cats and leaping

Nattram's vocals are hit-or-miss for a lot of people. Personally, I like the high-pitched vocals and I love the instrumentals for many of Silencer's songs. This instrumental is pretty good, and the high-pitched vocals are actually some of Nattram's best. But then, the awesome heavy music stops and for a period of time the listener is treated to a slow and boring instrumental while Nattram seems to do his best Yoda impression and talks about sniffing the fur of a dead cat before instructing the listener to 'leap, leeaaappp, leeeaaaaaappppp'. Truly, one of the most cringeworthy sections in any song. Even fans of Silencer and defenders of Nattram's vocals won't defend this section, and will often join people in mocking it.

Anyways, any cringeworthy moments in good songs that you can think of? Not really, I'm sure that there have been lot's of songs that people have listened to where they cringed at some point even though the rest of the song was good. A terrible lyric, a voice crack, a mistake from one of the performers (Nick Menza getting yelled at by Dave on Megadeth's cover of paranoid comes to mind), or something weird that takes you out of the song.

I was going to put "I AM THE TABLE" in the post, but that's a terrible part from a terrible song.

Not necessarily a good song but it's what popped into my head when I read the title: the human league's Don't you want me. It starts off as a standard 80s pop synth but then the female starts to sing. Hilariously badly. It's become a favorite of mine because of that.

Kind of reminds me of some of Nico's moments with the Velvet Underground. She wasn't a bad singer, but she didn't really fit in well with the band and was really only involved with them because Warhol wanted her to be.

0-2:20 = brilliant fast paced metal
    2:20 - 2:35 = weird cheesy sing-along bullshit
2:36 - end = brilliant fast paced metal

Little league by cap'n jazz. The begining of the song sounds great. And then the lead singer starts repeating "kitty kitty cat kitty kitty cat" for about a minute which escalates into weird screaming

There's a metal band called Morbid who did something weird where at the end of the song the whole band starts singing "la lala lala" for about a minute straight. They sound like elves singing over a Black Sabbath style song.

I still love this song, but the lyric "Walking in the cool night air without underwear" (can be heard at around 3:25) gets me every time.
