Now he needs to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ruin the Undertale fandom.

 

Do bronies really think Chris "ruined" their fandom? Not their incessant sexualization of a cartoon made for kindergarten girls?

 

and the steven universe fandom.

 

Bronies get butthurt whenever they're called out on that. So they tend to find a scapegoat.

I would have mentioned that had CWC not previously revealed that he did like the show and his favourite gem is Pearl. Even though I do enjoy the show, I dislike the fandom, and I figure since CWC likes it it's just a matter of time before he "ruins" it too.

 

This feels forced, methinks the new sweethearts might not be so honest and true.

Oh yeah. Fandoms can be seriously fucking disgusting. I hated the Final Fantasy and Sonic the hedgehog fandoms enough I left both groups back in the day but the Steven Universe fandom is just grotesque. I'd take obnoxious bronies over them.

Speaking of: rumor is MLP's getting the axe after this season. It'll be amusing to watch the shitshow of tism to hit the brony fandom when that news rolls around.

 

I have to admit I haven't hated a fandom enough to leave altogether, although I do try to stay away from places like Tumblr and do my own thing. Sadly staying away didn't stop bronies over on Derpibooru from whining about my "Brony" OC though. They didn't seem to understand the concept of "parody".

Oh man I had no idea MLP might be getting cancelled (kind of odd given Hasbro just rebooted the Equestria Girls doll molds), but it will be pretty funny to sit back and watch the fans go "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

 

The brony fanbase is dying, mostly because a lot of fans would rather participate in the community and look at fanworks than watch the show itself.

The problem is that there are fewer and fewer fanworks as the sites that host them and the communities that support them become more exclusionary. It's not a coincidence that the fandom shrunk considerably when Fimfiction got a bunch of new mods who started to reject many of the stories being submitted to the site (also, Knighty likes to recode the site. The interface sucks now because of that).

Basically, if you create a barrier to entry to a fandom and start enforcing rules on existing members that make them want to leave, you can't be surprise when people leave the fandom and new people don't want to put in the effort to get through the barrier.

Someone at Hasbro leaked concept pictures of the next MLP cartoon to replace the current one. I know enough about the show to know there will be a REEing like no other when it becomes common knowledge. The purple pony won't have horns or wings in this series.

I expect chris to have a 'HIS ARMS ARE NOT BLUE' moment when this gets to him.

Sorry, Chris, but all of these fandoms were ruined well before you touched them.
