Let's be true and honest about this. If the guy hadn't confessed to users on the site he would have never been doxed. The guys at KF are known for getting dox wrong, and I think their main trick is to get a mod to trace the user's IP.

Really, if the guy had simply kept quiet he would have never been found out.

What an absolute load of fucking crap. Fuck this guy, I was getting tired of his shit anyway. I hope KF rips him a new asshole

 

I like how the mods, well-known trolls and other users are making long posts defending the fact that they knew and didn't tell anyone (even encouraged in some cases), while Null has remained mostly silent on the thing. The basic message is "Yeah, I knew, I didn't tell anyone or try to stop him because of (insert reasons here), you guys don't need to get so spergy about it." Also, a number of posts talking about removing the Cwc section from the site entirely, as though they honestly believe that the Cwc section isn't supporting the entire site and most people would leave if it was removed or if it was merged into a single colossal thread.

I think the main issue here is that KF has already been in trouble for trolling a few times last year, and Null has already had trouble with the law. Honestly, I've said this a couple times on other sections, some of the guys in this community seem entirely dependent on it because within the community they have power, they have fame, they have respect. Outside of the community they often have very little in their lives, which is why they have stayed in the community for almost a decade in some cases, whereas most people stay in a community for a short time then move to another online community (with some exceptions, WOW for instance).

Anyways, where I'm going with this is that in this particular instance a KF user was psychologically manipulating a mentally challenged man online, there's not only proof of this happening, but there's also proof that the people running the site were not only aware of it, but also contributed in some cases with their own suggestions. The Kiwi's usual defence in both a legal trial and a social media trial is that they weren't actively involved, and instead were simply passive observers documenting events. They can't use those defences in this instance, and they appear to be on damage control because of it, issuing apologies, locking the board and (I'm just guessing here) making damn sure that none of the incriminating PMs that must exist aren't ever leaked. In fact, I'm willing to bet money that Null locked the account so that the Idea Guy couldn't leak the PMs to Reddit or something.

I also suspect that the reason for the talk by the higher-ups about locking the entire section might be because they are afraid that something like this, especially something like this that will inevitably come up in the future (now that the methods have been revealed, and the manipulation is already taking place) will end with the site being in serious legal trouble.

No medallions were shoved up Chris's ass, but the Idea Guy thing still went farther than people will admit. It's admittedly a little bittersweet now that it's being forcibly ended.

I've been thinking about this and here's my 4-cents.

It's a shitfest for sure, but it's a funny shitfest at that. Wise did a great job of riling up Chris followers and the wave of anger was quite the spectacle. I admit I got overly irritated by the new content and I feel like an idiot of taking it so seriously (although I was aware it meant nothing in the end). Most of the salt came from Kiwi Farms which, knowing that Wise was a member, makes a lot of sense.

For a forum which has a subsection dedicated entirely to salt farming, they got pretty damn salty themselves which was a hoot to watch. The clusterfuck over today and yesterday was pure entertainment for somebody like me who doesn't really care about them. I wasn't expecting a big discussion about closing the CWC subforum but I think it's a valid point of discourse.

I think events after Chris' big return in 2015 and especially what happened last year has clouded people's judgement of Chris and what he does. Marvin always goes on about how Chris usually doesn't do anything particularly interesting on a regular basis and I can believe that. Just look at his tweets. They don't tell us anything new and they don't go anywhere. And the content droughts speak for themselves. Not a peep.

Some people (myself included at times) like the idea that they'll be getting saga after saga with tons of funny content like back in 2008-2011. That won't happen, unless you count forgettable begging videos as entertainment. Events in 2017 might disprove that but considering most of the content was based around self-reflection and repeats of common mistakes I don't think it counts. It was Chris' self-interest which drove the Doopie saga and the return of Sonichu, not the act of a troll (the only real "troll" was Jessica, and we don't know enough about her to confirm that. Hirtes only got like two replies to his dumb tweets so he doesn't count).

So when someone DOES start "trolling" Chris, everybody screams "ween!" and goes all holier-than-thou because it's not what they want. They want stuff from ten years ago. Stuff they will never get because Chris is a different person. That's why I think Wise was really trolling us, not Chris with the "edits" to the Sonichu lore. Of course Chris did object to the trans Rosechu but he believed it anyway because he doesn't know any better anymore. If he won't chimp out, someone else will have to instead.

And who else but those who know Sonichu better than the actual creator? Who else but us? To be honest, I think it's somewhat justified in the sense that it gives us something to focus on and laugh at rather than doing boring "What if Chris did x?" threads and the like. We need to be shaken up a bit otherwise it gets boring. Boredom with Chris is the reason the CWCki Forums expanded into the Kiwi Farms in the first place, after all.

Am I siding with Wise? No. Do I think he's worse than Bluespike? No. He's just a ween who got caught up in his own weenery, got doxed and fell flat on his face like an idiot. A classic tale.

Funny thing is, I don't even think anyone cares who he was, I think everyone's focused on ABL and Marvin both knowing who he was, and apparently providing suggestions.

It is pretty entertaining though. Any caps from 8Chan? I feel as though if I looked there I'd see something.

 

Has trolling lost that much of its art? It seems that now all summerfag A has to do is say "HRY KRIS JULAY UR JULAY", and if someone observing says how dumb and uncreative it is, then it's suddenly "SURPRIZ I WUZ RLY TROLLING U N U MAD BRO EPIX WIN!!".

 

Trolling at one point was "upping you game" and getting positive (relatively speaking) results, now it is middle school melinial drivel.

No one wants to put in the time and effort for the antics chris is capable of.
