• Let's get this out of the way: OMFG CHRIS REALLY HAS ATTEMPTED RAPE IN SONICHU! Oh wait, it's not rape, it's getting punched in the chest, not even copping a feel, just a punch in the sternum, something that wouldn't be considered sexual assault, just assault. Also "rapier" friend doesn't make sense, since a person who commits rape isn't a rapier, they're a rapist.
• I love Reldnalhc in this, I love his sarcasm, him grabbing the Xbox trophy (despite the fact Xbox does "achievements" not trophies.) I love all his facial expressions, I love all but one thing..
• Reldnalhc, the first openly gay character on Sonichu, uses gay as a synonym for stupid, something the gay community has been trying to stop for decades.
• Probably a coincidence, but all the females in this issue have no emotions at all. Sylvana curses Reldnalhc with a facial expression that would be more fitting for "What should I make for dinner tomorrow." Chloe and Lolisa look totally blank compared to their male counterparts (not so much Blazebob) Zelina looks the worst compared to her man, blankly staring off to the upper right while Darkbind gets hands down the best face in the panel.
• What is that cube, the cube that sends Cole to subspace. Has that ever been seen or explained?
• *TELEPORTS IN* makes a wonderous return, it's no *MAKES GUN DO A 180* but it's still great.

I like how Chris has fallen to the stereotype that all strong female characters MUST be raped by the evil male villains
even if Reldnalhc is gay so.......why would he want to rape a woman?

 

The idea of anyone wanting to have their way with Chris is pretty funny.

 

What happens to the medallion is potatoes compared to Chris.

Most media and fiction handles rape poorly as it is (i.e. we're out of ideas on building our strong, female hero, therefore rape), but Chris really does take it to a whole new level. The way he casually brushes it off in the next frames is astonishing, even by the standards we're used to.

I don't know about that. Referring to someone who attempted sexual assault as a thin, elongated fencing weapon is pretty new turf for Chris, his lack of empathy, and the unintentional humor of his work.
