    Poor Sorbet.

I am going to find a way to adopt that cat.

    Godspeed, Sorbet...

...And may the ASPCA take a look at the Chandler's living conditions and get the rest of the animals out of there.

A water spray from a hose? For some reason this sticks out for me. Everything else I expected after hearing that the cat got hit by a car, but that it was hiding in someone's driveway and that they got him out by spraying it with a hose surprised me for some reason. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but every time I've seen a pet hiding somewhere that doesn't want to move, usually food is used to get the animal to come out from hiding, or the animal is just picked up and carried away.

Best bet is that the neighbor did the expedient thing after everything else tried, ended in failure to remove Sorbet.

Anyone want to guess why Sorbet got loose?

Unironic sympathy for Sorbet. In fact, for all the Chandler Cats. They deserve a better home.

    Escape attempt.

So, he let the cat out, and what Sorbet didn't come back Chris didn't try to find the cat and just assumed that the cat would come back home.

Admittedly, that's kind of what cats do, but I know that if I had a cat and it was missing for a few hours after I let it out, I'd probably at least go outside and start calling out it's name, hoping that it would respond or come back to the house.

Damn. Hope the cat gets some TLC at the vet's.

In rural areas like that there's nothing at all unusual about cats just deciding to spend the night out hunting.

I love cats and hate to see any in harm's way. The fact that Sorbet is still alive and kicking in the Chandler's "care" is a testament to the resilience of the species.

I'd make a joke about the cat trying to escape the hoard by killing itself, but I feel genuinely bad for the kitty. Get well soon Sorbet.

This is probably one of the only times I've felt any kind of sympathy for Chris. I hope that cute little bastard recovers well (or runs away to a better home).
