Not surprising really. Chris is a giant magnet for trolls and getting involved directly with him is begging for trouble. She is probably hoping he will just get bored and stalk some other young lady on the internet.

 

I doubt she does. This may get a little sexist, but fuck it. The way GOTIS works is a symbiotic relationship between the Internet Girl and her whiteknights. They need her to make themselves feel like they have worth so they flock to her for attention to accept her thanks for kissing her ass. Meanwhile, the Internet Girl needs the whiteknights there to validate her status as a desirable girl. And as for the creepers that Internet Girls attract: the Internet Girls need them too. Everytime one of them shows up, it feeds into her victim complex and gives her whiteknights a nemesis to fight so that they feel like they have some worth.

It's very similar to the relationship Chris has to his trolls and his observers.
