Redesigning Eva: The Audiobook

Now that all the chapters are taken, I look forward to hearing what y'all come up with. There's no huge time hurry, though if you don't think you can do it by the end of the month just let me know and we'll open the chapter back up to the public. Don't feel bad if you have to do that- life can be a dick and recording the ramblings of the autistic shouldn't be your first priority if anything else is going on.

I'm going to try to start in on the editing this week- been busy with other stuff but I should have some time now to get this thing rolling. Thanks to everyone who has submitted chapters already!

 

Yours wasn't bad to edit at all, though there are a couple of lines that didn't come out that need to be re-recorded. Should only take a few minutes. Let me know when you think you'll have free time and a desire to delve back into the pool of autism for a bit and I'll go over the ones that need re-records

 

I'm free tonight, so I'll be happy to redo some lines!

 

It's easy to forget, especially when life gets busy. I'm going to send reminder messages once I get all the submitted chapters edited and finalized tonight. I started the project and am just getting time to record mine now.

Hopefully people can get them in soon, but I'd hate to pressure people much over the works of Connor Bible.

The reading is great but the background track is actually much louder than your voice, which is making it almost unintelligible when I try to edit. Is there any way for that to be adjusted down?

 

They're all claimed but a bunch haven't been submitted yet, so you're our first alternate if someone can't manage it. Thanks for volunteering

 

It's much, much better but for some reason the volume drops sharply about 2/3 of the way through. I've tried boosting the volume, but that compromises the quality badly. Is it something fixable on your end?

Loving the submissions we've gotten, and many apologies for not getting through this sooner. Life's been crazier for me over the past couple months than it's been in years. Seems like a good time for a friendly reminder to folks who haven't submitted their chapters yet. If you haven't submitted yours and don't think you'll have the time or inclination to do it, just let me know and we'll find a replacement reader. As always, it's no big deal so don't sweat it if you can't fit reading the works of a sped into your free time.

I think I'll set the end of the month as the cutoff date for submissions. Any remaining chapters at that point will be released to be read by anyone who is interested. If there are special circumstances that can of course be negotiable, but it's good to have a deadline.
