Now that the lolcow is out of the "Jail of Fail", has the weekly (or even daily) fast food trips made a comeback?

Possibly if the prices aren't going to strain the wallet. Otherwise Chris could just settle on microwaved crap like frozen pizzas and TV dinners.

Personally I don't think he has long to live if his claims of psychic powers coming to him via volts of electricity through his body are accurate, because it sounds like he's describing a god damn seizure.

You never know if Chris isn't just making some shit up though, he's made far dumber lies over less. I'd say chris has at least 15 - 20 years at least, provided he doesn't do something incredibly stupid again.

To be honest. I used to be far up New Age's ass, almost as much as Chris is.

I think that's part of the appeal really, Chris represents so many negative things about humanity that we can't help but to see our worst moments reflected back at us when we look at him.

I used to think Magick was all around us and that mean old Academia was just hiding the truth from us because it conflicted with their worldview and pet theories.

I sobered up as I imagine most eventually do if they don't double down until they become the old white lady at the Crystal Shoppe with 50 bumper stickers of empty platitudes on their double parked car who goes around being the most unknowingly racist woke blowhard.

I bring this up because despite being inoculated against such superstitious magical thinking, one can't help but to look at Chris' apparent immunity to suffer any real consequences for his actions and wonder if some higher power wants him to be a shining example of all of humanity's sins; on display safely behind figurative glass for all of us to look upon in horror so that we may know what a sinner in Hell looks like.

New Age lacks a strict code of conduct, and it teaches that one can develop and use "psychic" powers. New Age also holds that there's magical planes of existence, such as the "astral" plane.

I can see the appeal it has to a certain "magical thinking" lolcow.

    It has appeal to anyone.

No one truly wants to believe that they live in a world without God, a world that seems so suspicously mundane. That there is nothing but the out of control chain reaction of a few chemical processes. They want to believe there is more to it that we have an eternal essence beyond this, one not reducible to mere material. We all want the mean skeptics who tell us there's no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow to be wrong and that this crazy messed up thing called reality will make sense when we see Grandma again on the other side and she breaks it all down for us over milk and cookies.

Delusion is comfortable for a time, but only the truth can set us free....

I will admit I hold out hope for some kind of immaterial element beyond the confines of physical law, I don't want to be an atheist but I know the idea of "something more" to be mere copium.. and an overdose of copium causes brainrot

Looks like any spiritual reality beyond the physical is doing a very good job of being hidden.

"Chris Chan" is a prime example of possible "brainrot" from "magical thinking": he went from merely believing cartoons are real and that he's a vidya "goddess", to thinking he's "avatar of existence" BS. Also he's been convinced he has "magic powers" since "classic" days, like that idiotic thinking he can "curse" others.

Yeah I was never sure what of Chris I needed to take literally at his word, or if the things he said were just part of the ritual and were meant to be more figurative than the trolls were taking it....

Then the mother fucker said he was Jesus

What if he knows he really isn't Christ, but wants to believe he is, to cope with being "Chris Chan"?

That would require a level of self awareness I know Chris isn't capable of

Unfortunately people believing themselves to be Jesus is a pretty common delusion among people who lost their damn minds.

Reminds me of this documentary I watched on YouTube a decade ago, about a mental hospital in New York City during the Giuliani era. It was a pretty sad and serious documentary, but there was just one part I found funny. The two separate cases that lead to it feel relevant to mention here.

There was this man who was brought in by EMTs, because he was found in a hotel room ripping pages from the bible and eating them, because they were the body of Christ. This had been going on for months. At this same NYC hospital, there was this other guy, a calm softspoken dude, who believed he was God and the second coming of Christ. This other man was hoping to go to court to get them to declare him as God, so he could "get off of this whole thing and make it official". He made sure to mention that he didn't mind being at the hospital, as long as it was respected that he was God.

The part that was really funny to me, was when a nurse was telling one of her coworkers about the second series of events, she said "Only problem's that we got 2 or 3 Gods down here, so..."

Why am I bringing any of this up? Because I know Chris is going to be yet another one of these types of cases, whenever the next time he's admitted to a mental hospital is.

After everyone "betrayed him" during the jail saga he isn't going to let any criminal behavior of his be known.. so I don't think he's going back.

I don't think Chris necessarily has to commit a crime to be involuntarily admitted to the psych ward. Like if he has a huge meltdown in public in a way that very clearly indicates he's off his rocker, but doesn't hurt anyone else or shoplift, there's a good chance he'd just be taken to a mental hospital by the cops instead of going to jail.

The same applies if he has a loud and animated enough meltdown at home in Lynchburg for the police to be called on him for a noise complaint or a wellness check. Especially if they know what they're dealing with by the time they show up and Chris opens the front door.

To state the obvious as a side note, a psychiatric hospital is probably the only type of facility that would even have any clue how to handle someone like Chris at this point.

I get where you're getting this from, but it takes more than "Oh shit he's crazy! Take him to the psych ward!"

You have to prove a danger to yourself or others, otherwise they cannot place you in a mental institution unless you voluntarily check yourself in.

King of the Hill even had a funny "reality ensues" joke about this where Bill and Boomhauer checked themselves in because they wanted to keep Dale company and it looked like fun, and then they had hijinks trying to escape, kept failing, and had Hank help.... Only for Hank to be told that if they wanted out, all they had to do was ask, as they had checked in of their own volition without a court order.

God I love it when shows turn off cartoon logic for a bit.

My point is, Chris would have to be violent in public or make threats. I actually lived next door to someone who was off his fucking rocker, dude even broke in and stole all my god damn PS3 games (It's fine, I only had one God of War game left before I finished what was the entire series at the time.. Ghost of Sparta was probably gonna suck anyway.... Fuck you asshole) to sell for drugs as he had nocebo'd himself into thinking he was getting heroin type withdrawal from marijuana.

Police said all they could do was "check into it" and let me know if pawn shops reported anything, I even photographed him breaking open my god damn fire hydrant, only to be told that because technically the city owned it and not me they'd have to ask the Fire Department to press charges (So, the fact that he came over to my property to break something means nothing in and of itself... Yeah that's okay, not like he has a history of doing shit like this or anything...)

Eventually, they arrested him and realized he was batshit, got him some help. When he got out he personally apologized for everything, and didn't bother me again...

Why? Because eventually he got it in his head to try burning down the house of someone he had a beef with, and since someone was inside at the time, it wasn't just arson, but attempted murder.

What I'm saying is, it's pretty hard to get the system to actually give a shit about someone who isn't following the rules unless they actively draw attention to themselves. Take your neighbor's Xbox? Eh, maybe you just misplaced it... Take Wal-Mart's Xbox? Well now that's a problem...

Please do not steal your neighbor's Xbox, police might not give a shit, but it's still a dick move. Just get a job and buy your own xbox, or better yet, buy a fucking graphics card because PC Master Race is where it's at.

You know, you do have a point. Sometimes it's easy to massively underestimate just how incompetent the police can be, especially when they have to deal with next level weirdos like Chris. A person who nobody knows how to handle in the first place. Chris is a unique case not just because of his bizarre and fucked up circumstances, but because I don't think even mental health professionals would know where to begin with him.

I think the most likely scenario for Chris winding up back in a mental hospital would probably be if he starts expressing thoughts of self-harm again, like he was doing openly for awhile. I know he's been suicidal before and has mentioned it out in the open. If he by any chance ever went back to the kind of antics he used to get up to when he'd get himself kicked out of and banned from public places, I think he'd only go to jail if he did his usual thing he used to do of loitering and disturbing the peace.

However, if he were to have a next level meltdown out of nowhere in a public place, where he started destroying shit and getting extremely loud, screaming about incoherent nonsense and scaring people, I think he'd wind up in the psych ward again. I'm almost anticipating something like that in the not-so-distant future, since while Chris is generally well behaved in public nowadays, his mind has been gradually unraveling since his release in a way I don't think we've ever seen before. It'll be a slow burn, but things are coming to a head, and eventually, Christory will be shattered by another cataclysmic event. Probably not quite as fucked up and grotesque as that certain one from the summer of 2021, but one that could stand to break Christory again in a different way regardless.

You jinxed it. He is now going back to jail for murdering Praetor who Chris will claim isn't dead, just in an Astral projection during which no one else can see or hear him.

Potentially, if Chris even cares about the bible anymore. At the end of the day, the internet and Chris's mind can produce far more interesting delusions then an old prison book can.

I think he only read the Bible because there was nothing else. If there were MLP books, he'd be reading those instead.
