Article of the Now

The Pmurt article has been the Article of the Now for several months. Anyone else in favor of changing it? I think it's a good idea to display a new article every couple of weeks.

 

Sounds good. What do you think it should be changed to?

 

In light of Chris's recent Twitter rantings, I was thinking Cole Smithey. But would that be in poor taste? Displaying someone on the main page who absolutely wants nothing to do with Chris?

 

Maybe just link to the "2017 tweets" page?

Or there could be a new article, something like "Chris and empathy"?

 

I think the stamp collection of fail should be the new article of now, if it even has an article.

 

I agree that we should change it since chris doesn't talk that much about trump it seems

 

How about the DStecks article, to commemorate the fact that it's been over 500 days since Chris worked on the comic?

Idk because he said he wouldn't talk about Chris anymore but it is important to note that Chris has done jack shit with Sonichu.

 

In all honesty tho, Chris and empathy really deserves the article of the now in my opinion. 10/10 True and Honest content.

Is there enough content for a new article? I'm thinking that since Chris has claimed to have empathy a lot lately, his posts about it could be collected into one article, along with examples of him failing to empathize, like trying to pester Cole. Maybe a section about his tendency to hijack conversations to be about himself, like his Twitter posts lately?

 

You could dig really deep and find some classic instances where Chris lacked empathy: telling Clyde Cash to get over his brother's death by getting a girlfriend, pretending to be Liquid Chris in order to have phone sex with Kacey, his classic intolerance of homosexuality and Aspergers, telling Kacey that it was difficult for him to ignore Pando Halo being raped, etc.

Chris doesn't totally lack empathy, but you could definitely make a convincing case that it's harder for him to understand others' feelings (he certainly isn't as empathic as he prides himself to be).

Rather than an article, I think this would be better suited as a section under "Chris and Hypocrisy" or "Chris and remorse".

Speaking of people who gave Chris obscene amounts of money, I thought it was hilarious that Sonic Rainboom gave Chris a $500 gift card, boasted about this on Kiwi Farms, then proceeded to call out people who paid $30-$50 for medallions and commissions. How long has it been since Weens has been the featured article?
