    I feel his attorney is doing this to stall because:

    A) He's trying to get some kind of groundwork down so he can establish an insanity plea and get the sentence reduced.

    B) He needs all the time that he can get to establish anything that could even resemble a case for Chris.

    he’s probably seriously rethinking his career choice at this point. The insanity plea seems like a no go to me, he’d have a better chance of saying “my client is retarded, unfit to stand trial and needs to be a ward of the state”.
