FB 10/10 - Feeling positive on fan works

This video from Dr Wolf and Firebrand made me think further about the fan fiction and fan arts of my works and characters.

Years ago, when I first heard about and saw a bit of these pieces, including a The “Asperchu” series, a bit of “Sonichu the Animated Series” and the number of the dark and twisted pieces as well, I had felt appalled and disgruntled, myself, on this what I would consider lacking in genuine love, heart and respect to the source material that I have drawn and written. And yet there were a number of praises for these.

After all the time that had passed, I have grown up mentally and emotionally, and upon retrospect, I feel better able to take in these past works with the grain of salt. The Documentary, for example, as I stated was up to 55% accurate and good, while the remainder was a total cringe-fest to me. I have contacted the creator of the documentary, and proposed an updated and Improved version of the documentary. While he is busy with a number of things right now as well, he is very interested in pursuing that improvement.

And I was also able to find More of the quality gem pieces from my fan base.

I take a moment right now to borrow from the wisdom shared in the below video, to better and more accurately express how I feel.

While I did or do feel some unease from the past works, I understand that those were a first pass for those people in their individual progressions towards better writing, drawing, and crafting. I Fully Encourage Everyone to keep trying and retrying towards what is a Real Better Quality Piece from themselves for all others, including myself.

So, Continue Onward, People! Strive for your own further improvements in your skills and talents with more practice! Even the roughest and unpolished can be appreciated like a shining, radiant gem stone!

No way would I sit through that dreck but it appears to be 2 grown men arguing about the quality of MLP fan fiction....for over 10 minutes. Of course Chris would see this topic as worthy of lengthy discussion and analysis.

 

You got to love the sheer lack of self awareness Chris has by telling other people to go an improve their artistic talent when Chris (correctly) claims his own artistic talent hasn't changed for at least ten years.

 

Translation: I watched this video of a grown men reviewing my little pony and I thought back to the parodies of my sonichu, which I didn't like because they didn't endlessly praise me for my genius. I have whined to some of my detractors and one has agreed verbally over the internet to give me ass pats so I can feel better about myself. Watch as I perform mental gymnastics to relabel my trolls and critics as my fanbase. Please watch this autisic brony video.

 

Grown men arguing over MLP? Why am I not surprised?
I stopped watching as soon as one of the guys got triggered over "sludge" getting praise.
It's fandom! What do you expect?

 

I wonder what made Chris think of the trolls as a fan base?

 

It's very bizarre seeing Chris reminisce about troll-related stuff so positively. I'd expect him to forget about it all or to be really salty about it.

 

The funny thing too is that Chris doesn’t consider his ripped off abomination a fan fiction....but the comics goofing on his “creation” are the fan fics (in his mind).
He also hasn’t figured out that if anything he’s gotten worse as an “artist”.

 

Chris sure likes to tl;dr.

 

tl;dr

Hmm, yeah, the dang dirty trolls who made Asperchu and The Animated Series gave me prickly wicklies, but people like Blank who are TRUE and HONEST good artists, I like when they make fan art. Also make a documentary that praises me and says nothing that gives me prickly wicklies, please. Naturally I will make no effort to make good art or a documentary, so do it for me. Thanks.

 

Because people who follow Chris used to pose as legit fans. It was easier to get content from Chris when he thought he had a real fanbase.

 

Pretty much. Remember, trolls set up a fake forum called "Sonichu Girls" which was supposedly *filled* with potential sweethearts for Chris to peruse like his own personal harem, then guided him to it in the guise of "Hey bro, we're giving you the hook up to your fans...."

 

Don't forget the Trolling Train.
