For whatever anons you had that genuinely liked the show, you had others that simply did it to fuck with people or so some claimed. Never will forget the claim of how posting ponies on /B/ was more riling than gore. Also still finding it funny with the sincerity since even if one went about it breaking something like "gender barriers" it's all adult men of varied ages, fat, and neckbeards jerking over plastic horses and not little boys enjoying flash animations of pastel horses.

To be fair, the 2010s were a blur, like the whole decade was just 1-3 years at most.

It's also been said that the culture of the 2010s pretty much froze after the 2016 election.

Perhaps the The reason why "culture froze after the 2016 election" is because the "all art is political" crowd stopped producing art that had any value or depth and just made very transparent rants about orange man bad without actually saying anything. If you look close enough there were a lot of cool things made after 2016 that had nothing to do with politics (wow perhaps art and politics are not the same thing) so there is still hope.

It sounds like someone (probably null) is paying for Chris to go to the con (so much for taking a hands off approach) and that person will be controlling the money, presumably so Chris won't waste it and end up stranded on the other side of the county.

Seems the only thing Chris learns about these days is New Age woo. Stuff like "astral projection" and "chakras". I think it's because New Age is the only religion that teaches anyone can use "psychic powers", and Chris thinks he could wield such IRL - just like in a cartoon.
