    The 1994 Street Fighter is the “good” SF movie. They managed to make a much worse movie like 10 years ago.

    Wow that looks even worse than I expected. Why the hell would they put Gangstas Paradise with this trailer? Some kind of ironic retro thing? Well they covered pretty much every played out trope from the last 10 years. I will say 2 nice things about this trailer, it’s great to see Jim Carrey’s career finally circling the toilet bowl. And it provoked the reaction from Chris I was hoping for. I’m sure more great content ala the blue arms chaos is inbound.

    Edit: forgot to mention they’re clearly trying to emulate Detective Pikachu and failing miserably.

    The memes are already strong with this one. Is it just me or does Sonic just look unfinished? Like an incomplete CGI character inserted into a rough cut of the film.

    The Sonic trailer from Paramount’s official Youtube has:

    71K comments, mostly negative.

    Pibot Analysis and Prediction:
    This movie is clearly meant to compete with WB’s Detective Pikachu. Viacom and WB are two pretty big entertainment companies, and video games are the easiest source material to make a cinematic universe after comic books. With Marvel making billions of dollars in days, it makes sense both these movies are probably attempts to start a new CU, Pikachu for Nintendo CU and Sonic for Sega CU.
    While Pikachu decided to snag an A-list actor to voice the main character, a young protagonist to appeal to a larger audience, and CGI pokémon that looks appealing and stays pretty loyal to the source material; Sonic decided to have the biggest actor be someone who’s been irrelevant for 25 years, and have CGI that’s ugly and will piss off loyal fans (CWC.)
    Will Pikachu bring in Endgame money? No. Not even close, but it will be a success at the box office and probably open the door to other Nintendo movies (Starfox movie, Metroid movie, F-Zero, fucking Pikmin idk) Sonic will be a flop, especially if they blow money on heavy advertising, which they might due to this backlash over the trailer.
