I've installed Sim Settlements for Fallout 4 and am having way too much fun running around pretending to be a Cowboy Sheriff for all the various settlements.

    Utterly pointless but amusing.

I like setting turrets up around the settlements with walls. Especially the missle ones and laser turrets to btfo raiders.

I can't believe nobody posted this, even if it is a different game:

    Minor spoilerish things:
    • Honestly, in the Vanilla game, the best way to get ludicrous caps is Charisma stat (Cap Collector is useful if you want to build certain settlement objects and/or not wear so much Charisma enhancing gear, and the third rank is really useful if you really, really want to make caps hand over fist using the farming method below) and
    • Scrounger will give you so much money. When it's maxed out you can find tons of "money" in the form of ammo.
    • Farming method: If you have the DLCs, build settlements with killing floors full of Gunner cages and kill them in as large of a group as you can handle. Their weapons and armor are worth a fortune. If you have Cap Collector 3, you can invest in several merchant stores and trade it all in for gobs and gobs of caps. My Gunner farm isn't even efficient and I can scoop up 3-4k caps this way.
    • In general killing groups of human enemies means lots of ammo and stuff to sale = money

I do that too. although one thing I could use help with is setting up the turrets where the spawn points of enemies are as that would make defense more efficient and possibly spawnkill them with ease. I would need maps that display those however and Wolfenstein2 has my attention too
