What shows do you like that only lasted one season?
I was a fan on The Brink on HBO and Mission Hill when it ran on adult swim, those are probably the two I would say are my favorites.
And of course you can't get into a Internet discussion about one season wonders without somebody mentioning Firefly, I don't think it was a bad show it wasn't just for me.

I was gonna mention Firefly, but you beat me to it. I still haven't watched the last episode of Firefly to this day because I don't want it to be over.

The Battlestar Galactica spin-off Caprica wasn't bad. I can see why it didn't last - it dragged its feet a lot and got kind of pretentious at times, but that describes a lot of science fiction shows in their first season. I think if it had been given a chance they could've done some really good stuff with it.

Also, if anyone's familiar with Babylon 5 they probably know about the trainwreck that was Crusade. That show was completely screwed over by executive meddling - similar to Firefly they didn't even air the episodes in the right order. When I watched Crusade I didn't like it very much, but after reading up on what they could've done if the show had continued, I'm really sad it was cancelled so soon. It was about the same standard as early Babylon 5 so there's no reason it couldn't have achieved the same quality.

I did not like Firefly, and I find the vehemence of its fanbase really off putting.

I remember watching Crusade when it first started, I wish it would of had some conclusion as I was a pretty big Babylon 5 fan.

I also never cared for Firefly. Fox in general is a hotbed of one season wonders, including two of my favorite wonders, Gang Related and Kindred The Embraced (AKA the TV adaptation of Vampire The Masquerade).

Mission Hill was another short-lived classic.

I liked Threshold, it was a pretty good sci-fi series with some interesting ideas. It was probably better suited to the Syfy channel though.

Anyone else here heard of/like The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.? Not only my favorite one-seasoner, but just one of my favorite shows period.

Terra Nova was one I thought was ok. It's on Netflix I may have to rewatch it.

I am still a huge fan of MTV's adaptation of The Maxx. I used to wish that they made more episodes, but after seeing how the comic proceeded with the story, I appreciate the ambiguity of the show.

I liked That's My Bush! apparently Comedy Central blew a ton of money on it though, and it was canceled way before 9/11.

Stella was fucking great, but only lasted one season. Apparently Comedy Central, in their infinite wisdom, decided that this bit of comedy gold was not worth investing in but the mountain of fail known as Secret Girlfriend was.

The Crazy Ones. Really wish execs would have given this Robin Williams TV show a chance to develop more

I'm filing for divorce. Firefly is that good. The movie did far too much far too fast I'll admit.

I didn't know anyone else aside my best friend and I knew of that show. It is fucking amazing, and held up great. I watched it about 2 years ago again, and it's still just grand. If you can torrent or find the dvds I suggest it.
Fuck another one I didn't know anyone knew of. One of the funniest skits I've seen in all comedy was them trying to be "friends" and going to the coffee house with no money and the one dude gets hassled for not buying coffee and he said "oh its ok I have this free drink it's called cinnamon milk" that exchange always leaves me in pain laughing.

Probably my favorite episode. I love how, anytime the three of them go on separate but similar adventures, David ends up being wildly successful and constantly gets pussy. Looking at his directing ventures now, life may have imitated art. I love how they have a moustache dealer.

Snuff box was brilliant, it still leaves me in tears. I'm not surprised it never got another season though and I'm honestly not too sad about it. I'm not even sure HOW they could make another series.
