Seriously, Pokemon Scarlet/Violet is fun! The only reason why I didn't play it sooner is because I watched Dun play it when it first came out and I lost motivation, but now? I love it

 

Yup, same, I like annihilape. I just caught a mankey recently in my playthrough. Also, a shiny spider dude I named velvet because the red color reminds me of red velvet cake

 

maybe a "hot take" but to me pocketmons "reset" with gen 3 and stopped before gen 7

(in that "headcanon" the "last" generation has a remake of the first after "reset")

 

It's not "dead" - I'm just not that interested in 7+.

Doesn't necessarily mean they're outright bad though.

Between gen 1 and 4, younger me somehow memorized the evolutions, types of all the 'mons without really actively studying them. Even stats they sucked or excelled at. Not specific #s though.

after gen 4 I couldn't keep track like that anymore

(so if it's gen 5+ mon chances are I have to look them up)
